in an effort to appease my mentors; I will discuss some of my more recent research projects and associated learnings.
To start, I know very little about penetration testing or other related activities, at least until I explored the world of 'ethical hacking.' My interest was sparked by a random YouTube video that discussed hacking tools in detail (by the way, I watched all of this at 1 AM). This led me to make several purchases on Amazon for various components. I am now known as a SKID (script kiddie)!
Let's return to the main topic of this post: my research projects. I had the honor and pleasure of building a Pwnagotchi, in addition to Bjorn the Viking.
Pwnagotchi is an AI-powered Wi-Fi hacking tool that learns from its environment while passively capturing WPA/WPA2 handshakes for later password cracking. It’s built to mimic a virtual pet, “growing” as it gathers more data.
Bjorn is a powerful network scanning and offensive security tool for the Raspberry Pi with a 2.13-inch e-Paper HAT. It discovers network targets, identifies open ports, exposed services, and potential vulnerabilities. Bjorn can perform brute force attacks, file stealing, host zombification, and supports custom attack scripts.

Memory Genius Learning Series - Why is Education Important?
The Memory Genius Leader seeks out every chance to equip everyone in the family, school, and organization with the identical unity of thought which the leader owns in their position as the philosopher. The chief is a model of lifelong learning; additionally, the chief encourages and equips everyone in the organization to grow in knowledge, wisdom, and ability. The function of the Memory Genius leader is as a learning leader and a teacher.
The word education comes from a French origin that means to lead from ignorance. Memory Genius Leaders direct from a stage of knowledge-their personal and professional logos; and they direct the company to knowledge-knowledge of their logos, knowledge of the vision, knowledge of the best business practices, and knowledge of the most effective ways to build relationships of trust and respect in communities and homes.
We can't, shouldn't operate in ignorance. As individuals, we need knowledge to grow in all six areas of human development: psychological, physical, religious, social, financial, and psychological. As a society, we have to acquire knowledge for human improvement. And as an organization, it's impossible to create our vision become a reality without the appropriate education of all people within that organization. Throughout the early 1990s, a phrase that became popular in books and articles on leadership was"the Learning Organization." The concept emphasized the importance of continuous, continual learning. If individuals and organizations aren't learning, they're dying. James Belasco and Jerre Stead wrote a nice leadership guide, titled Soaring with the Phoenix. They asserted:
Knowledge has always been the differentiators. Hannibal's knowledge of the Alps allowed him to defeat a superior Roman force. American creativity enabled us to defeat a much superior German force in North Africa during World War II. Superior knowledge inevitably wins.
Information and new business plans advancing at micro-processed speed, those organizations that expect to survive in the new century must participate in a continuous process which promotes the development of new approaches to learn faster and work smarter than the competition. Champions of Change must enhance their thinking before they'll have the ability to enhance their performance.
Why is education important?
Terrific Memory Engineers leaders engage the hearts and minds of everybody with ennobling beliefs and enduring worth. Additionally, Memory Genius Leaders engage their Purpose Partners' (students/employees/associates) hands with skills that equip them to perform at maximum efficiency.
I once heard a story about a guy walking through a cemetery whose attention was captured by this epitaph:"Died when he was thirty; buried when he was sixty-five." The passerby stopped, puzzled. Peering down at the tombstone, he discovered the excuse engraved at the base of the rock:"He ceased learning when he was thirty."
There are a great many people which could be represented by these doleful words. Everybody dies when they quit studying, even though they may not close their doors for several more years. In the event that you were to ask the president of a failing firm once the business died, an honest and perceptive leader could respond,"We died about twenty years back, when we ceased reading, stopped studying, stopped listening to our clients and our Purpose Partners®, and when we stopped coaching. We died when we believed that we'd arrived at the peak of the pile and had nothing more to learn."
The lifeblood of every person and every organization is the passion and joy that's aroused by the discovery and wonder of learning. Memory Genius Leaders understand this; they're insatiable models of lifelong learning and vigorous proponents of continuing education. They abandon books and periodicals from the waiting areas of the businesses, in break rooms, and on people's desks. These learning leaders earnestly feel that one of the main components of their organization's compensation package is education, and they make every attempt to make certain that these"benefits" are unmatched by their competitors. The business is growing and breathing and carrying in intellectual nourishment. The organization is so alive with the culture of lifelong learning that if you should cut it with a knife, it would bleed knowledge!
Far too many people have lost touch with all the miracle and the experience of learning. Young kids are inexhaustible question-boxes. They're bright-eyed and curious, always inquiring, researching, and learning. Why would we adults need to"grow" from that? We seem to believe it's a sign of elegance to appear incurious, like we know all the answers to everything. The reduction of intellectual curiosity is a sign of regression, not of health. It's a sign of immaturity, because we've become so prideful that we would like to impress everybody with what we know-or, worse yet, to seem like we know when we really do not-instead of learning to be silent and respect others by listening to what they need to say.
I feel that pride may well reflect the best barrier to learning.
Why is Personal Finance Education Important?
Credit card and personal finance education on the schedule in NJ
New laws in New Jersey's state government would call for personal finance education including many different detailed explanations on debt and credit language and implications for card applicants.
The bill sponsored by New Jersey state Senator Barbara Buono and passed unanimously by the Senate Commerce Committee would require lenders to enroll with schools and universities annually to declare their presence on campus.
The bill would also discourage creditors from providing a ton of freebies to young adults who register for a credit card.
Buono commented on the value of personal finance education stating,"Promotional sales gimmicks and pupils' own ignorance concerning the factors playing into their personal credit and credit card debt effect. By notifying them of the facts and removing sales gimmicks, we could hopefully empower students to make better credit decisions."
As the bill moves through the complete senate, the Philadelphia Inquirer is reporting that campus officials generally support the measure.
Rowan University spokesman Joe Cardona hailed the bill as significant legislation. In Rowan, credit card companies are prohibited from on-campus solicitations for more than ten years, reports the Inquirer.
Uptick found in personal finance education
Attendance at personal money management courses is up both in the classroom and online, but is personal finance education important?
The Wall Street Journal is reporting substantial gains to education and"financial literacy" classes which are hosted in local community areas, universities, and online from educational institutions such as MIT.
Some individuals expecting to learn about the impacts of the credit crunch, the condition of the housing market, and economic theory are turning into Open Course Ware financial tools that are similar to a virtual course to learn the value of finance.
Lecture notes, study guides and exams are available from this online offering of more than 180 business and financial education classes from almost 250 universities globally.
High school students will also be taking more personal finance education courses as the market increasingly influences how they will manage credit decisions in college and their plans for future careers.
Schools across the country are allegedly realizing the value of personal finance and making personal finance education courses and know-how a top priority.
