it was as though HUNGER drove his behaviourâââââ  he sought a swell of his blackened ego, the satisfaction of wounding an already broken man. his approach is slow, path forward changed by the twist of a foot to lead him around the other;  he surrounds him like predator to its prey.    â how do you sleep I wonder.. ? how does the human mind COPE upon facing a hell beyond the knowledge of your own world ?   â  Â

TONY STARK Â is no stranger to the spotlight. Â if anyone would understand the scrutiny of public consumption, it would be him. Â natasha hasnât felt this exposed since the weeks following new york. Â then everyone wanted to know about her --- Â they lauded her as a hero. Â theyâre calling her something different now. Â
she hadnât put much stake in it back then. Â choosing to focus on her allegiance to SHIELD, Â she quietly excited the public scene and left the interviews and public outings to tony. Â eventually the tide changed, Â the peopleâs focus moved off of them and she was able to sink back into obscurity. Â just how she liked it.Â
she doesnât have that privilege now.  not when everything  SHIELD  ever had on her is out there for the taking.  she doesnât regret her decision.  it had been the right thing to do.  but she canât ignore that poetic irony of showing up on the front steps of the place she was last heralded as a hero when she feels like anything but.
