Learn Python the Hard Way: Day 1
Today is the first day on the long, long, long journey of me learning to code and studying computer science.
I'm starting with the website Learn Python the Hard Way by Zed Shaw.
Learn Python the Hard Way has been recommended by a few sources, especially the Learn Programming subreddit of Reddit. And why not start with Python?
The first step is actually learning some basic "command line" scripts. I haven't used the command line much in the past but have tried a couple of things out. This will be my first time actually studying how to perform specific tasks in the command line (on the Mac, it's called "Terminal" and it is located in Applications -> Utilities -> Terminal).
Step 1) Buy some index cards and make some flash cards.
See you in a few days, I guess.
