You know what’s not common? Two teenage vampires taking a break from their supernatural lives to go camping. Yes, camping. Out of all the ideas out there, camping was the brilliant idea Kaleo’s mother had come up with in order to “rescue” (her words, not his) his childhood friend that had run away from her coffin home. Driving towards their meeting spot, he had to wonder if she had found any it suspicious. They hadn’t spoken in months and his “HEY. CAMPING, YOU DOWN?!” text wasn’t exactly smooth on his part. Hopefully everything would go well. Hopefully.Â
They had agreed on a meeting place, an old library by their elementary school they would always meet at after school. Leaning on the hood of his pick up truck, he had to admit: he was pretty nervous. For all he knew, Leah could be a completely different person who he no longer shared any interests in - they didn't share many to begin with, but that was neither here or there. He shook his head, “Nah, she’s most likely still annoying as fuck.” He spoke out loud, hoping if she was near, she’d hear him. Leah might have changed, but Kaleo certainly hasn’t.
