Proper Sourcing
Hey guys.
A lot of you guys, other autumn blogs, and just blogs in general on here are removing the sources when they reblog or post. This means that the artists who work hard to create these gorgeous pictures we love so much are not given proper credit. So blogs like mine and others are benefiting from the work of these talented people, and then not giving them anything in return, and in fact hurting those artists.Â
It takes talent and effort to take these photos, to make these other creative things we love. And the people who make these things are doing it because they love to, and pretty much never ask for any payment whatsoever for us to legally pass them around and enjoy. So why is it that people are removing or ignoring sourcing all together? This is not okay.
What's worse is every photo I post or reblog I find the source for. I go through a big effort sometimes to find where something came from since so many irresponsible bloggers just push it along without a thought. I did the work for you and yet some of you still remove the source to add your own tagline. I don't care if  you keep the link to my blog, since I didn't take those photos, but why are you hurting the creators who make these things that you love so much?
Just something to think about. You can promote your blog in place of mine if you reblog, that's fine. But why not find a way to keep the proper credit in your tagline?
