Firey was already there, nervously fidgeting with something in his hands. And brightly illuminating most of the empty clearing. A bright, cyan blush was visible on his cheeks, and the tongues of his flame seemed to smolder more intensely. It was clear how anxious he was.
The girl stepped out completely from behind the massive tree trunk, moving closer. - Fairy? - she began, uncertainly, as if to herself. - I didn't think you'd actually come! - Leafy shouted more boldly, running up to her dear friend and waving her hand in greeting.
He just turned to her sharply, holding out a small bouquet of three white flowers.
Daisies.
Delicate flowers that symbolized trust and tenderness. Their white petals swayed slightly in the quiet wind, languidly waiting for the flowers to be accepted.
Leafy stared at the offered bouquet for a long time, unsure of what she was supposed to say or do, while Firey averted his gaze in embarrassment. He was gripping the flower stems so tightly that it was clearly visible.
Still, Leafy smiled warmly, her brows knitting together. She carefully took the flowers from the boy's hot hands, and then pressed the gifted daisies to her chest. - Thank you.
