There wasnât much of a reaction when Giovanni was brought up. He did make a quick glance down to his daughter. The young girl not even paying attention to the conversation as she opted to just pet her Houndoom.
âAs with every group comes the responsibility of keeping everyone in line.â He nods one hand lowering towards the child at his side. Maddie was quick to notice the movement obediently taking the mans hand before he led them out of the elevator. Buzz sticking close to her. Alert and watching just as heâd been trained to do.
Madisonâs tiny eyes look to Archer once they were officially out mumbling a shy.
âThank youâ while clinging to her dads hand.
âI have some suspicion that we arenât the only group dealing with that problem. As of right now though itâs only a hunch.â Team rocket wasnât the only crime group around, it would be stupid to target only them. A true mastermind would throw a few random teams in to keep people off the trail.
âAn outsider? That's a bit surprising to hear, but Iâll trust your judgement on the matter.â
He nodded softly, distracted by his own thoughts as Vexis made his observation.
âTheyâre dedicated, for what thatâs worth. Loyal to a fault. Itâs just a matter of putting your foot down when their minds wander a little too far off course. Petrelâs too much of a goofball to be of any real trouble. Itâs Proton that worries me. Heâs quick with a knife, that one, and Iâve no room to talk there but itâs a matter of keeping out of sight and out of mind for the time being. It worries me that he might draw more attention than we need right now.â
Not to mention the so-called Rocket thugs doing business on their shores, drumming up trouble and keeping the name Rocket on everyoneâs tongues, even when it wasnât actually Rocket doing the things they were accused of. Archer stepped out of the elevator and into the hotel lobby toward the exit, giving a short nod toward the desk lady as they left. A low chuckle escaped him at the hesitation in Vexisâs voice and he shook his head.
âOh donât worry. This one will be of great use to us. Heâs already so eager to put a stop to these faux-Rockets and heâs done a great deal of good for us already. Itâs just a matter of keeping the wool over his eyes until the time is right.â
