Once when I had budgies they did the exact same thing, found the grossest little house to lay their eggs.You might want to clean it just incase of mold or other things growing, she will most likely take the eggs back if she is comfortable with you.

Salt hates me! She's a horrid, cussid little thing, but I love her to bits. She's such a character but would bite my finger off if she could (and she's made good attempts at it in the past). In s aying that, she'd probably take the eggs back out of sheer bloody-mindedness.
