Sometimes I think about the fact that I have spent most of my life living on North America's largest river (by flow rate: the Saint Lawrence). It may be dwarfed by many rivers in Asia and South America, but every once in a while I think about the fact that to me a "normal" river takes several minutes to drive across at 90 km/hr. European rivers look like creeks to me: Europe's largest river (the Volga) is half the size of the Saint Lawrence.
