It wasn’t necessary, but Jordan often took Shade, his pegasus, on brisk strolls around camp. One of its favorite spots to graze was around the Lake of Lost Souls, and he guessed it had a lot to do with the undead pegasus being in its element there. While leading Shade to drink at the lake, he noticed Beau by happenchance. “How’s practice going?” he asked casually, while threading his fingers through some knots in the phantom steed’s mane. “Last we left off, you were getting a pretty good handle on your powers.” 

“So if there was one thing you desire most right now... what would it be?” he asked, arms crossed as he stared at the blank canvas. Dean wasn’t much of an artist, at least not in the practical, painting and drawing sense, but he was always one who could come up with a vision... usually. But with Beau at his side, there to do it with him... well, it would make things a little more difficult. “And I don’t think painting Eris’ severed head on a spike is what Alseides is looking for,” he quipped. Honestly, that was why they were all doing this right? To make the gods and goddess of nature and the forest happy, to commune with them. “Or me spread eagle in your bed. Sorry to disappoint Beau,” he winked, before stepping back to look at the canvas again. “I think we’re supposed to come up with something a bit... deeper. You know?”

There was a lighter than air pep in Asher’s step as he sauntered the streets of Paris, with quite literally the most beautiful man at camp on his arm. He’d wanted to get out of the hustle and bustle of camp life and rejoin the land of the civilized mundane. While most of the guys in his own house seemed to busy reading or studying to prepare for the next quest, Asher decided to treat himself, and who better to escort him through Paris at spring time than Beauregard himself? “Thanks again for coming with me, Bobo,” he winked, nudging the demigod of love affectionately with his shoulder as they walked down the street. Honey brown eyes dance along the store fronts. “Not every guy can say he got escorted through the City of Love by the demigod of Love himself. Feeling more inspired than usual, yet?”

Something’s off. 

After tending to Malachi and helping around the infirmary, Jordan finally made it to Beauregard’s bed, and gently rapped his knuckles against the bedframe to announce his presence. “Hey,” he said. He’d heard about what had happened at the expedition, or at least the abridged version of it from a very whiny Malachi. He wasn’t sure how Beau was feeling about everything but he doubted any of them were in a sound headspace fresh after the quest.
