" she's... " he tries to think of the right word to describe bella swan and can't quite come up with one . but she makes edward actually live , and that is enough for emmett to enjoy the human . " reckless . " he finally settles on , grinning as he looks over at his wife . " and dumb , but in a very human way . like when they eat spicy foods for no reason . "Have you ever known me to say things just to say them, Marsh?" Her answer's in there somewhere. Hidden, but she knows he can find it.

Angela heard the doorbell and with her wine in hand, she opened the door. " Hey Cole. I didn't know you were supposed to be coming over. Stacy isn't here. She's out with the girls." Angela in a loose button up T-shirt that wasn't really buttoned well and wearing skin tight jeans. She always looked good even if she was feeling more casual. " Say I'm making dinner and like usual, I made too much. You wouldn't be a typical hungry boy would you?" She asked, leaning in the doorway with a flirty smile.

"As someone who has been there, done that...I do not recommend. Would not do again. The whole appeal of losing your free will kinda gets dull after awhile." Billy joked, expression serious at first before the corners of his mouth tugged into a smile. "I mean, go for it if you wanna try it but you'll see exactly what I mean after a few minutes of it."

everything hurt . even down to his bones he felt a fiery ache . the bloodsucking doc said that he would heal in a few weeks , he was lucky it hadn't been worse . lucky . what a thing to say to someone sobbing and screaming in agony after shattering every bone in his body from too close of a vampire hug . lucky was not the word jacob would have used . stupid maybe .  of course , if he hadn't jumped in to save leah she wouldn't have survived . the vampire was going to rip her to shreds - it was obvious in its red eyes . leah had stopped by - said thank you in her own passive aggressive way . weirdly , it was the only thing that had made him feel better throughout the treatment and the wolves or billy coming to spill gratitude and stupid sentiments . well - that is until he heard her next to him .  he had been passed out for awhile so he wasn't sure when she had gotten here exactly . time had ceased to have any real meaning days ago - maybe even years ago . and he had been so wrapped up in the drugs and the pain that he wouldn't have noticed if santa clause had appeared at his bedside . he must have made a noise or something because she finally spoke and it was her voice that shocked him back to his senses . only her voice would have that kind of power over him . she tethered him to this world , she always had . it took every ounce of mortal and supernatural strength inside of him to open his eyes and look at her without screaming out loud . the morphine must be wearing off . but he knew that if he made a sound she would worry and he had always cared more about her happiness than his own . it had been tearing him apart to be away from her since he phased and although he wasn't sure what she knew sitting by him now , he couldn't help but feel grateful that somehow she still had yet to give up on him .  ' hey . . . you . ' he finally manages through gritted teeth , clutching his hands into fists under the blankets . ' what - what are you doing here ? '
