Her father was PAYING him. Bringing him in to take down one of his competing companies from the inside           but NATURALLY they had to make his presence seem normal.  Make it seem like he had a purpose for being at this party without drawing attention to himself - and so, Veronica was REQUIRED. To distract. To play COY. Nothing OUT of the norm for the blonde. And so, she’d HANG on his arm and MAKE IT SEEM like he was HERE SIMPLY because she WISHED him to be. And it wasn’t hard - HE WAS HOT. She honestly didn’t even have to act all that much. The party was rather dull however, so once he snuck away to do his JOB, the young woman tagged along with a grin.
