On many of the Seattle grunge, Alice In Chains, and Layne Staley groups and pages I follow, I’ve been posting a daily countdown to his birthday (8/22/67). So many *wonderful* comments, stories, photos, tributes, reverence and respect for Layne, and friendships with my counterparts. The closer we get to his birthday, the more bittersweet this Layne League becomes. Remembering how he touched us, how he helped us, how he inspired us, and how he connects us helps his legacy. He loved his fans so much. This would make him shy and embarrassed, but he would love knowing that he did do good in his life.
