Silently, he moved into the kitchen. His green-yellow gaze took in the familiar setting as he contemplated what it was he wanted to eat. Before he had set a decision, he pulled out a medium pan and put it under the sink. He turned the knob and waited for the water to fill it, but as he did, he started to feel a little uneasy. He looked over one shoulder, saw nothing. He looked over the other shoulder. Zeleny was much closer than he expected him to be, and it made him jump for a moment, before he set a glare back at his trainer. “I didn’t know you liked sneaking up on people, Laynee!” he said, taking up Fire’s pet name for the man. “I’m not Laynee,” he heard the other return, his voice too darkened and stressed to really belong to his trainer. The realization dawned on him far too slow, and his nerves sunk where his fear rose. Shit. But before he could react, a hand was at the back of his head, taking a painfully tight grip of his hair. The moment his face came slamming down into the counter, he felt the world spin. His hands grasped out, trying to steady himself and gain some sort of ground to protect himself. He let out sounds in his panic, trying to get past the shock enough to scream for his twin’s aide.
