Responses - Serena (Part 1)
November 27th was the day of all responses from Dulcet Games about all the issues. However, multiple things that happened yesterday were not satisfactory. Many people have complained about the responses and I will address those points.
Following through on the last screenshot, I went around and asked the people involved if they ever received an apology from Serena and Dulcet.
There was only one person who confirmed to have received an apology (who asked to not be mentioned). An anonymous source also spoke to Gen and confirmed that she also did not receive an apology (only from MJ in her apology post).
I have not asked others such as Lunaris Games, however I assume they probably did not get an apology. I also did not see an apology towards the Beemoov fandom as a whole, for the things said about them. A source also confirmed that Wanderlust Games did not get an apology from anyone at Dulcet.
Here she pretends to not know what the meaning of the R slur was. This just shows that she doesn't feel bad for what she even said, she just feels bad she got caught. If one truly felt bad about their actions, they wouldn't keep making up lies to save face.
She claims that "I was not aware in English it was a slur used against mentally ill people" But then in the phrase in question, she is very clearly using the R slur with the word "MENTAL" and "AUTISTIC" showing she did know what it meant.
Again, the same as what a fan brought up in the Discord, in one of the screenshots MJ points out herself the word is a slur, and Serena claims she thought MJ was "joking". This excuse is ridiculous, why would MJ joke about that?
When called out on her lie, she begins to make up another excuse while saying she has "no excuse for that one". She is also using a distancing technique of saying "I can't recognize myself at all", trying to separate herself from the Serena who was bigoted.
The claiming she did not make a connection between the slur and the mental illness, which makes no sense. Then mentioning again there is no excuse for her to say that, after spending 2 paragraphs trying to write excuses.
"Wasn't my intentions to hurt any of you" but it was your intention to hurt Gen since you used autism and the R slur, to mock Gen. Even if, for the general public, your intention wasn't to hurt them, it doesn't matter. By using mental illnesses as an insult, you then perpetrate the notion that they are something bad and continue the stigma. Instead of owning up, you instead tried to lie and make excuses.
She ignored this point brought up by a member in the Discord.
In multiple messages she claims she "doesn't work at Dulcet anymore" and that she and her game are not linked with Olivier's actions or Dulcet. However, how can she truly be unlinked when her boyfriend is the CEO?
From Olivier's own words we know he is not professional, so who is to say that he "fires" Serena in public, but allows her the same power as before? Also, how can she even be completely removed from this power when the CEO is her boyfriend. Due to them being linked, there will be a clear bias and CAN be bias in the future.
Why was it predictable that they would hide behind "dark humor"? These types of "jokes" or "venting" isn't dark humor, it's just sick. There is a huge excuse of "venting".
So this is how you vent? By being transphobic when you are mad at someone? By being bullies? At the age of 23+? It is not good enough. This is not venting, this is bigotry and bullying.
So if the intentions don't matter, why did you spend an entire paragraph trying to give an excuse that it was just a "joke" or just "venting"?
Completely didn't address the situation with the artist, Lawrichai, here, neither in the chat after Serena was asked by some members about it. Interesting that they only focus on Gen. Even then, they again use the excuse of "venting".
Again, comments like "I'm gonna make you hate yourself more than you ever did" or "Gen is poor and from (state), the incest is strong" are not venting, they are sick.
"Excited" and "giddy" about "destroying" her is not the appropriate response of 24 year old women, in a professional company, about a co-worker they have a problem with.
Another thing, which is that both Serena and MJ used Gen's public information to go and then find other information to do with Gen, such as searching for photos of her, and going to her family's social medias.
They still went digging and searching for her information, to then mock and bully her. Again, they mention there is no excuse for their actions, but spend an entire paragraph claiming they were just "venting" and only bullied her because she "gaslighted" and "manipulated" them.
Whether that is true or not, instead of handling the situation like the adults they are, they decided to bully her. In a normal, decent company, if instead of settling issues like normal people, you instead stalk them online and bully them, you would be fired.
Another thing here is that MJ was never accused of being Thev. There is a whole paragraph related to him, when the only time he was brought up was during the "Transphobia" section of the threads.
Even then, the paragraph about Thev in the apology would never excuse the transphobia said by both Serena and MJ. The entire focus is not on Thev or anything about him, but instead the transphobic comments and jokes made, and the sole fact that those types of thoughts were in their heads to begin with.
Either way, if your respect for someone being transgender ends when you no longer like them, then that is not support towards the transgender community, but only towards those you deem worthy of your respect. Picking and choosing who you will respect being transgender is wrong.Â
Another excuse which Serena makes for talking badly about fans, is that she was only talking about "toxic" fans who have harassed her, and "venting" (again), and that she does not believe her fans are stupid.
So here, she hates on a certain fan but then still wants them to be "hooked on Kortia forever" to be Serena's money maker. Yes, she dislikes many of hers fans, but both her and MJ act fake towards these fans to make them profit. Where is the genuineness?
"Yeah you're right they're dumb", "write as if you are talking to kindergarteners". This is not venting, this is claiming you fans are stupid to your boyfriend, even when at first he protested this opinion. In the end, even the CEO agreed that fans are dumb.
This is not venting nor talking about toxic fans, this is talking about normal fans and claiming they are dumb.
At first, Sonia was not denied. Then later Serena foes this in the chat claiming it was some "drama seeking fan". When questioned on this ridiculous explanation (such as Sonia knowing how to purge and do mod commands and the German Mac screenshots) she ignores this.
She implies with her responses that she did not even ask MJ if she was Sonia, and just assumed so. "From what I saw", "It wouldn't surprise me", "I believe she gave the mod role by mistake".
This shows that Serena clearly did not discuss the situation with MJ, and just assumed it was false probably because they are friends. It is even a wonder if she read the alt thread properly.
Pretends that what MJ did by leaving a deceitful review was not illegal. MJ was deceitful by pretending she was not affiliated with Dulcet Games. If you have to use an alias or lie about who you are to leave the review, then maybe you shouldn't do it.
Then she claims that the xenophobic comments were "taken out of context". This is a plain lie.
Due to Serena lying and trying to use "context" as an excuse for this, I took it upon myself to then release the full context of the conversation. It is disgusting instead of taking accountability, she shifts the blame on something else.
"I just read olivier does a genocide spree on g******" "I better hide" Even your co-worker was shocked by this, and you still lie that it was a harmless "joke", "venting", "out of context" and a bunch of other excuses.
"Making it seem like I would say Olivier would shoot Romanis". Nobody made it seem this way, you just said it.
Point brought up by a fan, and ignored. Clearly because they cannot find any excuse to mask this. They claim they never wanted to breach privacy yet said this.

Both MJ and Serena have claimed that over 1 year ago they have said these things, and have changed. They have said they don't know who those people are from 1 year ago. The constant "Nothing can excuse our actions BUT-" and then follow through with a bunch of excuses or blame shifting. The accountability is not there if you can't actually take it without then putting the blame somewhere else, or make random excuses. Then other times, talking about some completely unrelated to the things they should take accountability for, to divert focus of the fans who are reading the apology.
How are fans supposed to be able to trust what MJ says when multiple times she has shown she acts fake to gain information or manipulate people? (Acting in DMs to Gen and acting in DMs to Lawrichai, lying to them both and being fake to gain trust).
Again, with both Serena and MJ it is hard to believe they have changed in a year, since some events happened in 2021 (for example, the response to the fan manifesto).
If during July 2021, they were ignoring and shutting down fans, belittle them and lying to them, and only now come to apologize with excuses because they got caught, do they really feel bad?
They ask in their apologies for a second chance, but the fan manifesto WAS the second chance, which they blew AGAIN. It seems they have not changed much at all.
