A Shakarian AU Prompt
I just find myself craving an AU where the Shadow Broker (and Iâm referring to the Yahg version of the Shadow Broker) adopts a young female Shepard and raises her.
What kind of plot points would I want in this prompt?
- An event that motivates the Shadow Broker to adopt Shepard in the first place.
- Garrus Vakarian is the commander of his own vessel (you can name his ship the Archangel for good measure).
- Saren Arterius having teamed up with Shepard in the past to the point he can tolerate her.
- Saren and Miranda are rivals until a gradual slow burn lets them transition to become lovers.
- A plot point where Cerberus sabotages a mission Garrus and Shepard were working on, so the Shadow Broker sends his agents to retrieve them. After returning to the lair, Shepard goes through a debriefing with the Shadow Broker while the medics tend to Garrusâs wounds.
- That plot point can follow up with Liara and Saren, along with another squadmate, to assume the Shadow Broker captured Garrus, so they set off to try to rescue him, only for it all to become a shocking and awkward yet hilarious revelation about Shepardâs close connection with the Shadow Broker as father and daughter.
- I would most likely prefer female Shepardâs default appearance (as well as her default name Jane), but you can customize her to your liking if you want.
- Female Shepard applies to become an agent of the Shadow Broker after she comes of age.
- Shepard starting to develop feelings for Garrus and has trouble figuring out how relationships work. Cue Shepard having to ask the Shadow Broker for romance advice and awkwardness ensues!
- Generally some cute moments of the Shadow Broker as Shepardâs father figure.
