Hello Students. It's the second week of Life Drawing and we were happy to have Mike Ricca teach today's session. Here are a few of the points he addressed:
The Law of the Leg, or LOL, that dictates the rhythm of the construction of the leg. The legs are part of the connection to the feet, where the weight of a form is connected to the ground plane. Today was the day for drawing feet.
For animation, appropriate representation of a form is more important than exact accuracy. Learning the "short hand" of most forms and being confident with your lines will accelerate your abilities.
Overlapping the form and representing it well prevents flatness. Avoiding bad tangents also helps immensely.
