preview: lavender having trouble falling asleep in an empty bed while her wife y/n is away because of work
lavender sighed as she ate dinner all by herself. y/n had been away for almost two weeks, and it was driving lavender crazy. she hadn’t slept in three day, as lavender found it absolutely impossible to fall asleep without being spooned by her wife.
she went upstairs, starting to get ready for bed and snuggling under the covers. she tried to close her eyes and let the sleep take over her, but it was completely useless.
lavender started to let out tiny sobs, wondering when y/n would come back when she heard the front door open. she almost fell out of the bed as she ran downstairs, hoping with every fiber in her being that it was y/n.
“oh, hi my love, i’ve missed you.” tears welled up in lavender’s eyes, and y/n picked her up, letting her wrap her legs around her waist. “shhh, princess what’s wrong?”
“i- i missed you so much.” lavender’s tears dampened her shirt, but y/n couldn’t care less as now her only priority was comforting the girl in her arms. “i missed you too baby, so much. it’s okay, i’m here now, i’m never leaving you again.” y/n rubbed her back soothingly, rocking her back and forth.
she brought her upstairs, laying her down on the bed and quickly changing into a pair of pijamas and hoping into bed with lavender. y/n spooned lavender from behind, craddling her to her chest like she was a baby.
“shh, i’m here now, i love you, my sweet girl.”
