pictures 1&2 - I really like the effects they made with the photos of Nas throughout the documentary where the photo would have a 3D effect or they would highlight a specific person in color and put everything else in the background in shadow. I felt like it added a whole new dynamic to the image to highlight and bring into focus certain people and images to help understand the story being told.
picture 3 - This was almost a panoramic shot of Nas looking out around him. I thought it was a really poetic shot to show where he came from and how high in his career he was headed.Â
pictures 4&5 - These profile shots were super interesting to me, in come of the shot you were able to see him in the light for example when he spoke about his album Illmatic. You would see him in shadow whenever he spoke about the streets and what he had to do. Another thing they did that was very different would be to get up close and only show parts of his face and then reveal his whole face even though we knew who he was. The image never stayed stagnate, it was always moving in and out and I thought that was very different and interesting for the narrative of this documentary.
