Ah, siblings... If you've got kids of multiple ages, you may have encountered that "I want to do everything they do" mentality that comes along with having a big brother or sister. "Charlie and Mouse" (2017) by Laurel Snyder, with fantastic illustrations by Emily Hughes, is not only a wonderful book about siblings, it addresses that issue by packing four sweet, fun stories in a picture book, chapter-style, making little ones feel like they, too, have a "big kid book". Plus, it doesn't hurt to have four short stories at hand for quick storytimes, either! Hughes illustrations are playful and charming, and really evoke the emotions of each situation, and Snyder's stories are wonderfully relatable. I'm looking forward to reading the sequels! âš« âš« âš« #noodlenutskidsbooks #bookstagraminthe6ix #charlieandmouse #laurelsnyder #emilyhughes #emilyhughesillustration #chroniclekids #theodorseussgeiselaward #siblings #families #biracialkids #asiankids #representationmatters #representationinbooks #inclusion #diversityandinclusion #diversebooksforkids #weneeddiversebooks #diversityinbooks #books4yourkids #teachthroughatext #literacycurriculum #booksfordiversity #picturebookaday #kidslovereading #libraryforkids #lifelongreaders #getkidsreading #kidsbookslove #readoutloud https://www.instagram.com/p/B296c5tAk17/?igshid=7i5e3tsykhyn
