What happened to Loki (and other og MCU characters) perfectly represents the concept of "nothing good lasts forever, every nice thing must come to an end."
Our good thing lasted till 2013. They kept trying to resurrect him to make more money, but there was no effort put into it. Even Tom didn't put as much effort. I think he's Loki fatigued, or just tired of being jerked around by idiot writers/directors. Maybe that's why he's behaving differently, he wants to peace out without pissing off anyone. He just wants to move on, but they keep pulling him back.
Of course, there's money to be made too. Tom got a cushy life and a successful career launchpad because of Loki. He'll keep returning for more money, till the interest in Loki completely wanes or till he physically cannot do it.
I know, but I'm incredibly salty that our good thing came to an end. I know I've said before that I don't feel anything anymore and that was true then but now it isn't anymore and I feel so fucking sad out of nowhere at the way this fandom was treated and rent apart. It is possibly the most fucked up MCU sub fandom now, if not the most fucked up fandom in general. It's definitely worse or at least at the same level as even spn now, which is so fucking insane I can't even tell you
But yeah I mostly agree. And it sucks so much because all I can think of is that early 2010s Tom who used to love Loki so damn much. Like I said in my open letter, it's futile of me to miss that and crave that because that's gone for good but still.
