#latea vitae

A story I have written some days ago for the idea had appeared seconds before I was about to fall asleep while listening to one Cirque du soleil song from Varekai. I thought it wouldn’t hurt to share. The incredible and protective but helpful Marlon Petroff belongs to @niku30 / @shadowbeneathlondon / @marlonpetroff <3 Akumu Mortem and Latea vitae belong to me! Enjoy~ “Latea!” A female voice called quickly yet strong, running up to her for the white creature turned around. “Akumu! Is something wrong? I didn’t do anything wrong r-” “There is nothing wrong Latea. I had a question however” The detective said in return, looking down at the more smaller female. “Oh? Well ask away then” Latea returned her answer in a lovely smile, watching the still serious detective looking a bit less strong. “I recently have created some sort of new gadget as I wondered if you would like me to see if it works. I can explain everything to you in my apartment but that is what I wanted to ask” Akumu replied a bit silent, seeing seconds later that Latea smiled even more brightly. “I would be honored! I always love to help” the aerial acrobat said right in front of Akumu.. Watching a certain thankful smile appear. “I am pleased to hear. Please follow me and I’ll explain everything” Akumu said with a soft smile, turning around before a certain more taller man stood in the same corridor. In the meantime that the two ladies had been talking.. Marlon Petroff had heard their voices and talking about a new gadget which had triggered his caring and protection behavior for Latea. “Good evening Ladies. May I ask what kind of gadget we’re talking about?” Marlon asked gently for a sigh returned as an answer from the creator. ‘Unbelievable how these two men are alike’ Akumu thought for she as well thought of Tarin in that case. Always the curiosity yet protection, she knew.. “I could explain everything but if you’d like you can come as well. I need some extra help if it’s needed anyways” Akumu said casually yet serious, making Marlon nod. “I hope that is no problem however.. That is alright not?” Marlon asked, as well looking at Latea with a caring smile as she responded with a happy nod. “Of course! Right Akumu?” She responded, making the detective just continue walking for she knew he would come either way. This made Marlon walk along Latea in the meantime. “I really hope I’m not a bother however..” Marlon said softly, leaning his head a bit down to her to stay more silent. “Oh you’re not Marlon! I am honestly happy you’re coming with us for whatever gadget I have to test” She said, creating Marlon’s protective behavior to get even more strong. Although he knew Akumu knew what she does most of the times.. Her gadgets are powerful.. And to test something out which means it’s not fully confirmed whether it works or not created some serious concern in Marlon’s mind for Latea. The acrobat however noticed the sudden concern was visible.. Which made her lay her hand down on his arm. “It will all go fine Marlon. Please don’t worry too much, alright?” She asked with a caring smile, watching the man nod twice firmly before looking back at the detective who walked upfront. Akumu after minutes stopped walking, making her lay down her hand on a scanner before they could enter her apartment. “The gadget is not able to be hurtful is it?” Marlon asked as soon as they were inside her apartment.. Watching all his surroundings first. “Just let me explain Petroff” Akumu said with a sigh, making the man look serious back for Latea closed the door afterwards. “Latea” Akumu said, making a gesture with her hand for her to come towards her. Marlon as well just gently followed since he wanted to know what would happen.. “Alright so for the both of you” Akumu said, looking seriously while approaching her table to grab a tiny thing. “This is what I’ve created. I haven’t figured how I should call it, but the purpose of it is very important” Akumu started saying, seeing four eyes watched her. “This is a mind watching gadget. With this I can look what you’ve witnessed through your live and can as well see your mind activity. At least that is what it should do. But I need you to test it for me if that is alright.. I think with this we might even can look back to.. The less nicer moments to see if you might have seen something of the criminal that has made you.. Fall” Akumu said while folding her ears with the last word, seeing Latea nodded more carefully. “We won’t however do that last thing today. I just want to test if it works. Don’t feel any pressure” Akumu said right after to create some rest for Latea.. “Thank you Akumu..” She said, taking the small sort of cube in her hands that fit in her palm.. Making Marlon look at it closely. “So how does it work exactly?” He asked with a raised eyebrow. “Just please wait and see Petroff” Akumu said, making Akumu take the cube out of Latea’s hand before she watched Akumu gently put it on Latea’s head. “It can sting a tiny bit for a second” Akumu said carefully, watching the man look at her very serious. “Petroff I won’t ever hurt this lady alright? Be happy you’re in this room already. I don’t allow many people here” She said annoyed, making Marlon glare a bit at Akumu before he kept silent. Marlon knew somehow there was something going on between Akumu and Tarin.. He however as well couldn’t understand that well how he was able to work so perfectly with this complicated female.. She was quite rude most of the times. But he had to remember himself she asked him to come with them.. Which meant she was accepting the fact he wanted to. “I thank you for letting me in here” Marlon said afterwards, watching how her instant serious face turned more calm.. With Tarin he always saw there was this beautiful bond going on.. She turned more happy, more warm as he was incredibly happy for his friend he somehow already had found the one he wanted to be with forever. Both didn’t admit.. He himself as well was in this trouble that no one knew off.. “Alright now.. There” She said, making Latea feel a tiny sting which made her shock a bit before she smiled. “That felt so strange” She said, twitching her four ears once before she saw the tiny cube stayed at the side of her head just below one of her lower ears. “Alright.. Now, I’d like to ask you to lay down or close your eyes.. Give in to your calmth and even sleep if possible. The cube helps you to fall into it more easily” Akumu explained, making her nod. “Alright” She nodded, walking up to the couch to grab most pillows before she returned for the detective and the agent just watched her do her things. After sometime she laid down all her pillows.. Laying on them at last on the ground. “Alright. I think I’m ready” She said with a soft smile, looking at Akumu for she nodded. “Close your eyes and try to relax.. Think of anything that might help you with that” Akumu gently said, walking up to her desk to await everything. Latea just did what Akumu asked her to.. Making her close her eyes before she took deep and small breaths.. Akumu grabbed one of her devices, gently activating the cube for a small light on it started glowing. “What are you doing?” Marlon asked quickly, making Akumu sigh. “I’ll explain all to you Marlon. Just please wait for a second” Akumu said seriously, swiping over her device in a way that activated the cube more and more.. Watching Latea’s breathing turning more slow and calm.. “And we’re in..” She whispered, hearing the tall muscular man stand right next to her. “Let me see..” She said, seeing all brain and mind activity slowly getting more visible for them. “Let’s start with something small..” She said with a serious expression.. Slowly swiping over one activity that was shown on her hologram touch screen she could hold in her hand. The cube started to make a soft sound before huge flowing holograms filled the air that represented her mind at this point. Slowly but steadily it started to show something.. Making Akumu look focused for this all needed to go well. “Why not look for something that she loves thinking about.. Maybe a good memory” She said, swiping again for the memory started to beautifully show through the holograms. Marlon kept silent at all time.. Watching how the actual gadget worked for even he was quite amazed by this. “What is the actual purpose for the making of this?” Marlon asked softly.. Making Akumu sigh. “It’s a help that might can help people who are traumatized and cant speak for example. That way they don’t have to talk but show. Not to mention Latea maybe in her subconsciousness has seen who made her fall.. If we can get back to that one memory and see if she did.. We could help” Akumu explained, making Marlon listen for Akumu then sighed relieved. “She’s completely gone now.. This helps a terrible lot. Let’s see what we can see” Akumu said with a soft smile, making Marlon still a bit overprotective. “You shouldn’t look into her personal stuff Mortem.. I would watch out with that” He explained, making Akumu look at him. “Marlon.. I would never go into someone’s privacy. Don’t worry about what I’m doing” Akumu said slightly annoyed, making the man nod. “Alright. Alright” He said in response, watching Akumu being so quickly on her devices. “There are actually many reasons why I asked Latea to come here Marlon. I as well had hoped you would come across us so that you could join” Akumu explained, making Marlon frown for that caused his curiosity to pop up. “Why is that Akumu?” he asked, making her smile. “That is something you have to figure yourself” She said in return, making him remind indeed Akumu didn’t explain most things that might could be figured by the person itself if they’re not stupid enough.. Marlon would figure it in no time.. That is why Akumu didn’t say anything. She would await it all. Slowly but steadily Akumu didn’t have to do anything anymore.. Her own mind started showing them what was going on without Akumu having to give the lead through her device that she held in her hand. “She’s thinking about her happy moments” Akumu whispered while watching it all.. First watching some of her time in the Cirque that looked a bit faded.. That was probably due her accident.. But slowly, actual recent memories started to show up.. Making Marlon look as well for he even remembered these.. They were connected with him. For Marlon couldn’t help himself but step closer to Latea to watch the holograms show her memories.. He kept silent at all time, making Akumu smile softly. “That is why” She whispered to herself, knowing now Marlon started to understand it all for he indeed did.. Marlon looked all around him. Seeing every memory were things they had done together.. Even the one time where Latea had fallen down the stairs in the beginning of the CAD where Marlon was just in time to catch her. It had turned into a happy memory due she was helped through her small trauma.. Something she never forgot even though she barely had known him back then.. After some time of watching, Marlon noticed everything turned a bit dark.. For at last all was black for a second. “What is happening Mortem?..” Marlon said a bit shocked.. Making her smile brightly. “We’re actually slowly coming close to her dream core.. The most purest activity.. “ Akumu said a bit mind blown.. But before she could do anything.. From the black holograms started to flow out something.. So incredible.. A beautiful flow full of music, all sorts of colors and figures jumping around.. An energy so big. “Her dream core?” Marlon asked softly while watching this all like an explosion flowing through the room in a marvelous way. “It’s the most powerful and beautiful mind activity.. It shows everything that she will forever remember.. Her subconsciousness and the things that mean the world to her.. As well as dreams she would love to happen.. It’s actually barely indescribable what it is really. It’s so huge.. I had not expect to actually see this..” Akumu explained softly, making Marlon look so focused on it.. Watching all sorts of black silhouettes figures jump, swing through the colorful aura and flowing energy that was unable to describe with words if anyone ever would have to.. Akumu as well put her devices to the side to watch the most incredible power.. “I knew a Cirque mind be mindblowing.. But this is just..” Akumu said softly, watching it all for Marlon couldn't speak.. He watched every single detail.. Every act in an energy was visible.. All the people she remembered where there.. He saw Cali somewhere.. People he had seen himself with whom she talked to.. But slowly, one strong silhouette with a beautiful orange glow behind him ran through her mind as well.. Standing still in the end for this flow roamed around him completely.. “What is that Akumu?..” Marlon asked, making Akumu look at the silhouette figure.. “That is her most important core memory... It’s the most strongest power of all..” She explained, being amazed for she saw what the actual silhouette was seconds later.. Looking at Marlon in the end.. “Does the figure looks familiar to you Petroff?” Akumu questioned, making the man look at it more closely for it.. Looked like.. Himself? “That..” Marlon said, looking at Akumu once before looking back for he dared to step closer into the energy.. The silhouette started moving through the energy more the moment he did.. For Marlon in the end gently kneeled down to Latea who was still in her deep sleep.. With folded ears he laid down his hand on one of hers.. Seeing an instant happening that he would never forget. The silhouette that did represent Marlon.. Suddenly took all energy over.. Watching the colorful flow of it turn more yellow as it held the silhouette of Latea close to himself that appeared soon after.. The power was mindblowing.. It appeared like a bomb, filling the entire room again before it turned more calm.. Making both agents observe it as most focused as possible.. The silhouettes of Marlon looked protective for Latea’s one looked more weakened.. Getting hold by the man for her instant worries disappeared.. Marlon had noticed Latea in between this all frowned at several times which usually means something bad.. Now.. All her worries had faded.. She looked as peaceful as one could be. Marlon gently kept a hold of her hand, watching the power getting stronger for it had told Marlon enough.. “I think you understand why I wished you would’ve come with me” Akumu said softly, making Marlon look down at the female who still was in a deep sleep for her Dream core softly started to fade.. It was a normal reaction.. As both agents had turned more silent. Akumu walked back up to her desk to deactivate the cube for all holograms had disappeared soon after. “How did you know..?” Marlon asked softly for he was still in a shock to have seen and realized all that. “I didn’t Marlon.. I somehow however knew you would be an incredible help.. But I had not expect to see such a thing like that..” Akumu said, for having seen such a beautiful bond even had mindblown her as well.. “She will be quite tired as soon as she wakes up however.. I suggest a rest would be good” Akumu said, deactivating everything for it made Latea wake up from her sleep.. “Did… Did it work?” Latea said softly, feeling Marlon had a hold of her hand for he tried to hide it by pulling her up quickly.. “It did..” Marlon only said with a soft smile before Akumu approached the two. “Let’s get that thing off your head Latea” Akumu said with a soft smile.. Gently detaching it from her head before Latea started yawning.. “I hope everything went alright” Latea said softly, making Marlon and Akumu nod. “I couldn’t have asked for anyone better.. Now I can understand you feel a bit tired and dizzy for I suggest resting a bit will do you good” Akumu said, making latea nod for she felt Marlon let go of her hand now. “That is a good plan indeed.. Do tell me what you’ve seen or how it worked later for I think I wouldn’t save all right now” She said with a soft smile, receiving a nod from Akumu. “Will do. Thank you so much Latea. You as well Marlon” Akumu said, making the man look at the detective before they nodded back to leave. “Are you feeling alright though?” Marlon asked gently, receiving a soft nod in return. “Yes.. I’m alright.. I just have to lay down probably..” Latea said, eventually standing in front of her apartment for Marlon had walked with her. Marlon’s ears slowly folded down for he wanted to say something which Latea could see. “Is there something Marlon?” She asked, making the man swallow. “Would you mind if I stay with you a little longer? I can even do some work for you so you can rest?” Marlon suggested, making Latea smile so thankfully. “Of course I don’t mind.. You however don’t have to do anything for me. I appreciate you’d like to stay already like nothing else Marlon” Latea responded with a soft smile, opening the door to let Marlon in as well.. “Man.. I really do feel the exhaustion kicking in right now..” She explained, making the man swallow for he took his blazer off gently. “Would you like to take your rest?” He asked gently, making Latea nod softly. “Yes.. But..” She said, looking at her bedroom for her ears folded down.. Being scared of that nightmares would come upon her again.. Marlon noticed the sudden fear appearing again.. Making him approach her softly while holding her shoulders from behind.. “You’re afraid those nightmares come back again not..” He asked, making her swallow and nod.. “Would you like me to join you with your sleep?” He asked, making her absolutely silent for she felt Marlon’s hand leaning against the side of her face.. More into her neck.. “Marlon..” She only could say, looking at the man for his eyes were closed.. Feeling the two muscular arms were wrapped around her body to show he was there and that she was safe to stop the fear from growing.. “I myself realized that I find it difficult to leave you every single time.. And I just don’t want to leave you any longer..” Marlon said with a voice so soft.. Full of actual love and passion.. For Latea’s eyes folded.. Listening to his voice before she leaned her head back against his.. Gently holding a side of his head while he kept holding her from behind. “I don’t want you to leave anymore as well..” Latea said with her eyes closed.. Tears coming for it was hearable in her voice. Marlon sushed her in a beautiful way.. Holding her as close as possible as gently passionate kisses started to fill her neck from the gentleman.. Latea couldn't help herself but stroke over the man’s cheek.. Thanking him over and over again for she was unable to handle anything.. “Let’s get you into bed Ms Vitae” Marlon said at last with a loving smile, picking the female easily up for a sudden laugh appeared. “Mr Petroff! HOW dare you” She said with a laugh, feeling she got put down before he himself after getting rid of most clothing got under the covers just like Latea did.. They talked for some minutes.. Calm and peaceful while Latea had laid her head on the man’s chest to listen to his heartbeat.. Instantly turning as peaceful as possible.. “I know it has been a bad thing that I had seen the memories that you have.. B-” Marlon started for in his eyes it was still not a gentleman thing to have seen it all.. But latea did not let him finish the sentence for she moved before holding his cheek with her hand while she already laid down on him with her eyes closed.. “I couldn’t be more thankful you did Marlon..” She only said, making the man hold her more close and warm before he felt she had gone to her dreams again.. Or at least in a deep sleep.. The man watched her for sometime.. Smiling softly before he himself closed his eyes as well.

One that is quite a happy one for a cloudy day!

One I absolutely love listening to! This was an actual production/show in Tokio! Sadly due the terrible earthquake and Tsunami they had to close it all. The music is so beautiful..
