Beaucoup aimé les personnages, leurs interactions jamais inutiles, toujours très fortes voire très dures. J'ai beaucoup aimé me faire des suppositions, attendre et surveiller les indices et les réponses à mes questionnements. J'ai même beaucoup aimé me rendre compte qu'elles ne viendront probablement pas à mesure que le nombre de pages restantes diminuait. But here's the fourth trailer in my trailers through time saga: Jean Vigo's L'atalante.
It's a simple movie about two newlyweds having a difficult time adjusting to their new lives together... basically, I suppose. Michel Simon is also there. Who I do regret not having more of in this trailer, but I'm finding that in making these, I try to suss out a specific story in the film to center the trailer around.
The backdrop of this film, to me, is always the unfortunate fact that Vigo died shortly after the film's release. At 29. 29! From tuberculosis. It's a beautiful work to leave the world with, but such a tragedy he never got to continue.
