1: What’s your favourite creation of yours? And why?

i don’t really have a favorite but i had a lot of fun making these tsoa posters, just being creative and not caring about fandom aesthetics, it was nice to play around with different styles and not having to stick to one coloring/style for the 4 pannels

this iwwv one, i knew what i wanted to do with the skull from the beginning and it turned out great!

this tsoa edit!! i’m proud and i think it’s one of my best but it’s a total flop

@mehendi your choice of pictures... the colorings! so pretty! - @laststop i love how you play with textures, and i always like your ideas!! - @phantomness your iwwv edits, but also, your general aesthetic!! i love it! - @rhoxana made some of the prettiest things i’ve seen on this website - @fahey pure talent 

1: What’s your favourite creation of yours? And why?

a solid candidate for my fave is this one! this was the first edit i ever used doodle animation in and i think it turned out quite nice. i also like the b&w and subtle texture, as well as the purple drop shadow that completes the edit’s ace flag color scheme!

5: A creation you enjoyed making a lot!

i recently learned how to make gifs and i really enjoyed making my first gifset! looking back at it almost a week later i see that it definitely could have used some sharpening... but i hadn’t found that button yet at the time, so i think it turned out really nicely for a first try!

11: A new creation that you’re very proud of!

this freshly posted legend of korra gifset! i colored something in photopea without psds by others for the first time, and i’m really happy with how it turned out!

15: Talk about some of your favourite creators: what do you love most about their creations?

this is by no means a complete list, but these are some of the people that have recently posted creations i’ve really loved:

@august-landry‘s creations are so creative and unique! i love her use of fonts and color so much, it’s a joy to see a new edit of hers pop up on my dash (the cemetery boys one!! i adore the combo of colors, text, gifs, and gif overlays)

@runins‘s creations are always so refreshing to see. their edits are so recognizable because of their signature fonts and textures, but i like how scarlett always puts a creative spin on everything. this tpw edit she made for the booksociety yearbook awards fits the book so well, and i love how minimalistic yet striking it is.

@bangaram‘s edits are all stunning, i’m honestly continuously astounded by the beautiful things she puts out. iniya has such a variety in style, but she manages to make so many different styles work. i love how she plays with text arrangement and coloring, like have you seen this gopaf edit? the text arrangement on the 3rd panel is different and stands out, but it still fits in. the coloring is also gorgeous!

BABYBOY. BABY. i’m.. as i was talking about earlier gansey is not without flaws, he needs to learn more empathy and learn to articulate his thoughts better so as to not offend people but as i mentioned i am vulnerable right now so we’re on a strict gansey loving lockdown rn. 

i.. gansey has been my emotional support projection character for so long i... i love his overly dramatic way of speaking! dream me the world.. nobody point out how it gains new meaning when you realise he Knew and wasn’t talking about D.C.  [kicks off shoes]: *softly but with passion*: yee haw.. you never took me to any bird shows,,, THIS MOMENT FROM TDT DHDSKJ, when he’s like omg blue how do you not like the fruit that’s the best part, “and now for my next trick i will make an old man 5 teenagers, a dog and two tons of luggage fit into this car jsdhjfdhs gansey can be so funny and it’s often overlooked.. OMG when in that moment he was like why am i such a Fool i wanted mallory to see the pig but i shouldve brought a big car... when blue dissed his shoes and he was like “these shoes were the only thing right in the world” HDJSH baby relax... 

no but i do think gansey is hyperfixated on little details, and i think this might come from his family being so obsessed with image! like they’re a prominent wealthy family in the public eye and whenever something goes wrong they’re like... oh my god richard what will people say? so i think it’s either a) him trying to remain in control of every little thing at all times, or b) him desperately clinging to minor, insignificant details because it’s the only thing he’s really allowed to be in control of.. like when he finds that little outlet where he doesn’t have to put on the president cell phone mask he tries to cling to and make the most of it. also omg gansey was travelling all around the world ALONE as young as like.. 14? at first i kind of chalked it up to “omg white people give their kids so much freedom” but now that i’m older i... NOBODY does that. and i can’t find the post but i saw someone pointed out that due to his dying and coming back, gansey (probably) had ptsd and was mentioned to have anxiety attacks every now and then, so probably what happened was this parents were embarrassed of it and so decided that it was better for him to be away rather than have a breakdown in public which makes me so so so sad. :( tbh i know like a Point of gansey was that he was privileged in every way and so it makes sense for him to be white, but that sort of obsession about image and “what will people say” made me just. it resonated so strongly that i hc gansey as brown FHDJDFH i figured if he’s GOING to be the ESPC might as well go all the way :’) 

and finally.. every single day i think about “he was a king”. EVERYDAY. i think about that scene all the time OMG at my school, we had daily testing, and you were allowed to bring a book to read if you finished early and. I vividly remember, i had a seat next to a window, i barely hauled my ass through a phys*cs exam i think i just barely scraped a passing mark in and i was like well that was Awful, at least i can read my book now :) and i just fucking. this was the year he was going to die AND I WAS LIKE EXCUSE ME :lisa simpson’s dinner: and then i just sat there the remaining five minutes shell-shocked just.. reading it over and over again. JHKJAS and all the moments that he (didn’t) kiss blue.. was only afterwards that i realized all those moments were from blue’s POV and... was he thinking about :(( ALSO as i said earlier he has such a.. dramatic way of speaking but then at the end of it all it was just.. “and gansey kind of wanted to live”. something about the simplicity of that statement, especially juxtaposed with the way gansey talks in general just.. hits me so so so so hard. it’s kind of like he was finally so.. completely jarred into shedding all his layers he had on and it was just. he kind of wanted to live. i’m so fucking SAD right now kjfhdkjsfdkg

1: what’s your favourite creation of yours? And why?

i don’t think i could pick a favorite, but i really love how this amy march edit turned out! i did them for all the march girls, but the amy one is my favorite of the four. i love the color palette as well as the coloring

5: a creation you enjoyed making a lot!

the further that we got into @projectliterature i started to lose inspiration (book edits are much harder for me) but in the final week for free week i made this if we were villains edit and i absolutely loved! i’m obsessed with those fonts, they’re like the only fonts i use now (rip intro i still love you) and i liked how the layering of the photos came together and i really like the coloring that ii ended up with

11: a new creation that you’re very proud of!

so i’m actually starting to enjoy making gifs! for week one of @projectbway i ended up making 40 gif sets (please don’t judge me) and i feel like i’ve started to get better at coloring, so for a new creation that i’m proud of i think i’d have to go with 

this betsy wolfe gif set- i love the bright blue color that i ended up getting for the background and how it looks with the black of her dress and the pink flowers. 

this anastasia gif set - we all know i am many feelings about anastasia, we don’t need to get into that lol. i’ve been wanting to make a parallel gif set of the musical and the movie for a while now, so this week’s projectbway challenge was perfect for that. we all know i love purple, so i loved changing the blues to purple and enhancing the purple that is already there in the broadway footage, but i almost never use orange so i took this as an opportunity to do so and honestly i love how the film gifs turned out and i love how they look together!

15: talk about some of your favourite creators: what do you love most about their creations?

okay so @lightandharmony literally makes the MOST GORGEOUS broadway gif sets that i have ever seen! the way that she uses color is incredible and i hope to one day make gifs half as nice as allison does

the way that coco (@laststop) uses textures and fonts like blows my mind??? i wish i was able to do that. every time coco posts something i’m just like :GAVIN: literally how

mary @thenightscircus has a way of making such gorgeous simplistic edits that are pretty much perfect for whatever the subject is. like i don’t know how mary does it but everything is always so clean and gorgeous!

there are so many incredible creators and i for sure have forgotten so many and i’m so sorry i love you all
