Draco was quick to move around the castle during this time of night. He did not wish to be caught snooping around when this was the only time he had to not worry. Since he 'joined' Voldemort at the battle, subsequently leaving with his parents, of course, nobody at Hogwarts really seemed willing to trust him. He ended his friendship with Pansy, leaving only Blaise as his friend.
As this was the one time of night that most of the other students weren't walking about, he had time to think for himself. Of course, he wanted to prove his worth again. Regain the honor he lost thanks to his father. He really wanted to prove he changed, but how to do so was the question. Draco was prideful, that was sure. He tended to act like a spoiled brat, even after his father started treating him badly.
He became lost in his thoughts. He only realised he was no longer alone when he looked up and saw a figure in the darkness. He didn't have to speak to them, but he decided to anyway. He was already practically considered a laughing stock now, what else did he really have to lose. "What in the world are you doing out here?" He asked, his voice much harsher than he initially planned, along with his expression. "Thought I was the only one willing to do anything around this time. Shouldn't all the goody-two-shoes be in bed right now?"
