@larmadacy Ordinarily, when he was this annoyed, Wes preferred to drink alone. However, when he saw Larma enter the makeshift lounge, he called her over. After all, he knew she’d understand. “Come drink a toast to my broken heart, why don’t you?” he asked her, filling glass with a double shot of whyren’s reserve and sliding it towards her across the table. “It’s as good a reason as any to drink around here, after all.”

“Oh - good afternoon. I take it you’re the figure of authority here? Wonderful.”
His expression didn’t hide his nervousness well, even he had to admit that. His time in this far-flung corner of the universe had still only been relatively brief, and the fact that he’d stumbled into an intergalactic conflict had caused him nothing but a hindrance. The details of the war were still unknown to him, nevermind just who in this galaxy he could trust to offer him a reliable enough account. Everyone seemed to have their own role to play, and as a result, he’d struggled to idenfity who were fighting for the greater good and who wasn’t.
Not to mention that he himself was an unknown person by practically all standards - and, upon materialising in the vicinity of what appeared to be a military base of some sort, he’d almost immediately been cornered and arrested, with the TARDIS being swiftly carted off. The last thing he’d wanted was to step on anybody’s toes, and yet, he’d manage to crush several with just the weight of his presence.
Still, the young lady he was now speaking to looked like a fair enough sort, if not one that practically irradiated assertion.
Probably someone I shouldn’t trifle with, no matter which side she is on.
“Look, it was never my intention to cause trouble - I’m just a traveller, with no idea of where I am or what is going on.” He explained, his demeanour exhibiting an air of confidence and assurance, “My craft has a habit of being somewhat temperamental, as well. The old girl has had her fair share of bumps and bruises over the years. I’ll be out of your hair in no time at all, I promise - like a bad patch of weather. Here one minute, gone the next.”
