Larikeets are my new favorite bird
Today we went to the San Diego Zoo Safari Park. It was really fun. You see the animals more than you do at the zoo. They also have exhibits where you can go in with the animals and sometimes feed them. We went and fed Larikeets. To feed a Larikeets you hold your arm out strait with a little cup of nectar in your hand. Well when we went in the birds were feeding slow because a lot of people go through there and they were full. Well I went in and one landed on the rail next to me and I offered it the nectar and it climbed into my finger. That was great. What wasn't great was the large Hispanic man who wanted the bird for his two kids. I get wanting your kids to have the experience but that doesn't mean that you try and take the experience from someone else. He kept poking the bird towards his kid's hand that he told him to put up near mine. Mom couldn't get a picture because they kept blocking here. Well the Larikeet was getting annoyed too because when he lifted up one of its feet, the bird bit him. He finally moved, along with his kids, and mom got a picture. Long story short if you annoy Larikeets, you bleed.
