Stopped by a nursery and my goodness is this philodendron 'florida' massive. I couldn't get over the leaves. I'm hoping that one day mine is equally as large!

I decided to make a very bold move and fully rotate this massive philodendron. Since moving him to the window, he basically rotated to squish himself against it.
But he did give me some lovely big leaves so it was worth rearranging my apartment partially for him :)

The new leaff on my Alocasia Sarian is the biggest one she has put out yet!
To understand why I am so proud of myself and this plant’s new leaves you need to know the story of how I picked her. Originally I tried my hand with two Alocasia Bambino Narrows. Both of those perished rather quickly and I felt awfully discouraged. But one day when I was in my favourite plant nursery I saw the selection of Alocasia Sarians and I really couldn’t say no. They were so beautiful and I new I wanted to try my hand at growing another one.
There were two different size options, a six inch pot, and a four inch pot. I kid you not I picked out the four inch pot and made the comment to my mom “I will probably kill it in a month, so its better to go with the smaller, cheaper one.”
By some witchcraft, this plant actually enjoyed the care I gave it and began thriving almost immediately once it acclimatized to my house. She rapidly outgrew the four inch pot, and eventually outgrew the larger one I gave her. I love this gal so much, and so far she seems to be loving her home
March 30, 2020 Happy Monstera Monday! Found another new, pretty leaf on the school monstera. I probably get a lot of weird looks when I pet the plant haha
