Ferrari SF90 XX Stradale Sets Road Car Record At Fiorano

The fastest ever lap of Fiorano by a road car was announced today. Set by the 1030-cv SF90 XX Stradale, the new limited-series special based on the SF90 Stradale, the time of just 1’17.309” represents a new record for homologated road cars. Driven by Raffaele de Simone, Ferrari Head of Development Test Driving, and equipped with lightweight carbon-fiber wheels and Michelin Cup2R tires, the time was 1.4” faster than that set by the original car equipped with the Assetto Fiorano package and the same tires.

Porsche 911 GT3 RS Sets Record at Road America

Porsche upped the ante on its own Road America production car track record. A lap in the Type-992 Porsche 911 GT3 RS bettered the established record set in a 2018 Porsche 911 GT2 RS. The record shattering lap was set by Porsche Deluxe Carrera Cup North America veteran Dimitri Dimakos on the freshly paved “Nürburgring Nordschleife of North America”.

Corvette ZR1 Sets Lap Record at VIR

Chevrolet has announced that the 2019 Corvette ZR1 set a production-car lap record on the 4.1-mile Grand Course West at Virginia International Raceway with a time of 2:37.25.

Along with a harness bar and track seats with five-point harnesses, the record-setting stock ZR1 coupe was equipped with the paddle-shift eight-speed automatic & ZTK Performance Package, including an adjustable carbon-fiber High Wing, a front splitter with carbon-fiber end caps, Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 summer-only tires, and specific chassis and Magnetic Ride Control tuning.

BAC Mono Breaks Production Lap Record at Zolder Circuit

Briggs Automotive Company (BAC) has again made history, as its Mono has become the fastest-ever production car to lap the Zolder Circuit in Belgium.

The single-seater and ultimate piece of sporting equipment set a truly breath-taking lap time of 1:38.12, beating the previous best record of 1:38.23, held by the McLaren 650s, by just over a tenth of a second.

In the hands of Belgian TV station FLEET with driver Jeffrey van Hooydonk in the cockpit, Mono surged around the 4km circuit and perfectly demonstrated the exemplary level power and precision that’s made it a track hero worldwide.
