His Girlfriend
Warning: age gap (reader is over 18, but significantly younger than Guy).

When Guy Gardner introduces his controversially young girlfriend, you, to some of his Green Lantern buddies, it doesn’t exactly go well.
“Do you actually not know who Captain Planet is or are you taking the piss?” Kyle asks, his mouth agape.
“I’ve never heard of this man in my life, is he on the Justice League, or…?” you respond slowly as you try to avoid inadvertently offending anyone.
Kyle and Hal share a look, while John raises a brow in Guy’s direction. Your boyfriend only shrugs, the concept of shame ever a stranger to him.
“We’re the planeteers and you can be one too!” says Hal.
“‘Cuz saving our planet is the thing to do!” Kyle chants.
“Looting and polluting is not the way,” John says, a little more reserved than the others.
“Hear what captain planet has to say!” Guy adds.
You giggle awkwardly, “did they change the Green Lantern oath or something? Why do you all know this?”
“We know this because it’s the greatest animated show of the nineties,” John informs you.
You want to contest that, as you’ve watched plenty of nineties animation since making it official with Guy. But since you’d prefer for this conversation to come to a conclusion sooner rather than later, you let them continue rambling about their niche for a few more minutes.
Hal changes the subject only slightly when he turns back to you and asks, “when were you born?”
“Two—“
“Two?!” the three of them shout at once.
Their eyes look like they might just roll out of their eye sockets. You nod calmly and continue.
“Two thousand and—“
“And?!” shouting even louder now, their heads whip around to stare at Guy in horror. You never get the opportunity to tell them the year.
