The Brave and the Bold || Lanternisms and Scarlettspeedster
Barry came to a skidding halt at a point along the Coast City Boardwalk. He'd been at work all day sure, and yes, he'd already had time to go home, put the kids to bed, and have dinner with his wife, but now was the time for him to have some fun. And yes, while he wanted nothing more than to take one last patrol of Central and get to bed, the news of Hal actually being planet-side for his birthday was something he just couldn't pass up. It wasn't that he was necessarily looking to get drunk and into a bar fight like they had the last time they celebrated together, he did want to show his best friend a good time. Now that he was a little more financially secure than he had been since the last time, prior to his death, he wanted to fulfill that.
His suit shrinks away from his frame, closing itself in his ring after his nearly nineteen hundred mile journey. Finding Hal's place was never easy, seeing as the Lantern moved around a lot, he'd always have to check with Bruce to find where he was current on rent. He was partially surprised at how great of a place he'd managed to find himself this time, beautiful ocean views and within walking distance to the beach, Hal had definitely outdone himself. When Barry had left Central it was just after eight, placing it just after six here. Knocking on the door he knew there was no way Hal had managed to find himself company for the night, or rather he hoped, because if he was being honest he needed a night like this as much as he wanted to give it. Now he just had to wait and hope Hal would be willing to head out, a fact he laughs at because of course he would. ...Right?
