Little things like resting a hand on his arm or patting his back. There’s an unspoken understanding of mutual attraction between them. Lestat’s enjoying the slow exploration of it.

They’re laying in bed together after a particularly enthusiastic roll in the sheets, and Lestat’s still a little out of breath. The sex is usually great, but more often these days they spend just as much time together, if not more, with their clothes on than off. They’re starting to get to know each other, and it’s nice.

That noise Michael makes is terribly endearing, he can’t help but chuckle. It makes him feel good that he can help improve Michael’s mood. Taking over the world or whatever has to be stressful, no matter who you are or how it’s going, so Lestat tries his best to be someone Michael can breathe around. He turns his face to press a kiss to damp hair, an arm sliding around his lover to keep him close.

Lestat’s not sure what reaction he expected, but the one he gets makes him smile. If this isn’t an indication their relationship is serious and that Michael is in it for the long haul, he doesn’t know what is. All signs have been pointing in that direction for a while now; so while it doesn’t exactly come as a surprise, it’s still nice to know.

Lestat’s lying with his head in Michael’s lap, content and relaxed, as he often is when Michael’s near. “Mm, you should choose. I’ve never been much of a reader.” He doesn’t have the attention span for it, but he likes to listen to Michael. “I have read everything by H.P. Lovecraft, though.”
