he  doesn’t  bother  to  reply  to  her  antics  ,  he  can  speak  to  her  about  them  in  person  in  a  few  moments  anyway  .  miles  brings  out  his  phone  once  he’s  parked  outside  of  her  home  ,  sending  a quick   ‘  i’m  outside  ’  text  as  he  waits  to  see  her  leave  her  front  door  .   the  male  can’t  help  but  laugh  as  he  re - reads  over  their  saved  snapchat  conversation  ,  keeping  things  in  mind  to  bring  up  once  she  gets  into  his  car  .

well,  this  was  awkward.  she’d  obviously  been  aware  of  the  mutual  friend  part  of  this  equation,  currently  finding  herself  sitting  across  at  brunch  from  the  person  she’d  slept  with  last  night,  who  she  also  skipped  out  on  without  even  a  hint  of  explanation.  it  doesn’t  help  that  she’s  not  feeling  her  best  either,  dressed  in  a  hoodie  two  sizes  too  big  for  her  and  a  pair  of  her  comfiest  grey  sweatpants,  her  exterior  is  an  expression  for  how  she’s  feeling  on  the  inside  --  hungover  as  fuck.  but  she  tries  not  to  let  that  get  to  her,  tries  to  be  quiet  during  conversations  (  definitely  unlike  her  )  and  avoid  this  awkward  encounter  for  as  long  as  she  can.  in  fact,  it  isn’t  until  their  friend  gets  up  to  use  the  bathroom  that  claudia  even  lays  eyes  on  the  other,  frown  on  her  face  as  she  sips  at  her  coffee.  “  you  know  we’ll  never  hear  the  end  of  it  if  they  find  out  what  happened  the  other  night,  right  ?  ”  words  are  hushed,  almost  like  she’s  scared  for  anybody  to  overhear  even  if  their  friend  was  nowhere  near  in  earshot.  but  news  travelled  fast  around  her,  and  she  wasn’t  too  interested  in  taking  any  chances.

      𝐄𝐕𝐄𝐑𝐘 𝐎𝐔𝐍𝐂𝐄 𝐎𝐅 𝐓𝐑𝐀𝐈𝐍𝐄𝐃 𝐆𝐑𝐀𝐂𝐄 𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐓 𝐄𝐋𝐘𝐒𝐈𝐀 had been trained with over the course of her life had dissipated the second she’d read his message. drunkenly, she’d texted him one night and some sense of relief came over her. truthfully, she hadn’t thought that he’d have the same number or that he’d immediately block her and move on with his life. it had been years. they weren’t teenagers any more. she’d gone on to cheat on him, ruin her life, set back every dream she’d had for a dream that she didn’t know would be the only one worth reaching. the last time she’d seen him was at graduation with a passing, sorrow-filled glance and a heavy sense of regret. reading back his message now and the ones that followed after, the blonde kept herself distracted in the busy restaurant with her phone. he’d asked to see her, so why was he late? obsessively, she read back every pathetic message that she’d sent him and looked over his reply over and over and over. they’d agreed to meet and she felt like sitting here was some form of karma. she did feel like a fool. her baby sitter was stuck with her daughter on a saturday night when sia was sure the teen would rather be anywhere else and she was in a place that she didn’t know in a dress that was too tight waiting for a man that she’d fucked over as a stupid child that, with increasing surety, felt was not going to come to have history repeat itself. // @landslidcs​
