Land Rover Series 3 88" Soft Top 200 Tdi Conversion Tax and Mot Exempt First registered 1st August 1977. This lovely restoration that has been subject to a ground up rebuild. The restorer also decided to incorporate a 200 Tdi engine into the rebuild which makes modern day use much more bearable particularly in traffic and on motorways. The upgrades are all very substantial and have been incorporated into the rebuild very well. The vehicle has had a full bare metal respray and been painted in its original colour, deep bronze green. Documented photos are available to view and supplied with the sale. All the galvanising has been re done and so not painted silver like on so many other vehicles. The vehicle also benefits from a fairy overdrive which significantly improves the drive, particularly on dual carriage ways and motorways. The bulkhead and chassis have both had any repairs necessary and are both in good condition. During the restoration both axles were rebuilt, brakes, suspension, exhaust system. The vehicle has benefited from a new set of deluxe front seats, matching rear bench seats, a new hood stick set and canvas. All parts sourced for the vehicle have either been genuine or from DLR. All the receipts are present in the file totalling thousands to show are the work carried out on the vehicle. The vehicle will be supplied with 12 months mot and also has the benefits of being tax exempt. Which is a saving of over £200 per year. All modifications have been well thought of and neatly hidden. So the overall appearance of the vehicle looks like a standard Series 3 until you see it overtaking you in the fast lane at 70+ mph. Four-wheel drive and low range engage, as they should. The gears change up and down as they should and the gearbox has been subject to a full rebuild and a new clutch fitted.
