LAMINA1 is a platform and protocol for the next era of digital content and co-creation.
Okay, so if you've seen me sometimes post about what I've been doing in Lamina1 (Neal Stephenson's blockchain initiative), and you're curious about what it is they're trying to do, you could help me out by using my invite link to Zealy, which is a community-engagement-tracking site, and check out "Hubmania", which is Lamina1's current community campaign. There is no pressure in any way, and if you are not into blockchain (or hate it), I totally get it and respect it. I'd like to say that Lamina1 is trying to build something different, and if you come check it out you'll be able to see that, though of course you're going to run into the usual crowd of people who just want to speculate and/or think of blockchain as some kind of huge Tulip Mania Market, which drives me nuts. But if you're into schadenfreude, you might also really enjoy the fact that these types are absolutely furious about Lamina1's plan for how its token will be used and how community rewards (which they are giving) are going to be rewarded, because the whole thing has been engineered in such a way as to slow down/depress the ability to just dump everything and run (aka "you built something that got attention, I gave you 3 minutes of my time to post 'gm' in your Discord, now I am entitled to suck the value out of your creation"). Can they change how community rewards are unlocked? Yes, via community governance. But of course they don't want to do that, because it would require more than the absolute minimum, and they're so busy moving themselves and all of their socks/alts from project to project, like a field of locusts, they don't have time to actually care what the project is doing -- won't someone think of the poor reward farmers?
