Anyways, turns out, Maverick was just manipulating our poor boy. And honestly?? It actually worked for a bit. Perhaps not as verbatim as it went with other cult members, but it did convince Ben to a degree

If they decided to trust Maverick without any other guidance, they would've definitely been trapped for much longer.
