Hey guys, I changed my URL from laineymont to lainelannister!  I'm still trying to figure out how to make my old URL into a redirect to the new one...hopefully that won't take too long, and there won't be any confusion!

Was my first fic in this fandom! :D The first part, Lysa’s, was originally going to be a lot longer. A lot of the scenes in Catelyn’s - Cat’s visit to court, their time together after Robert Arryn’s birth - were originally going to be in Lysa’s section, but I realized they worked better in Cat’s POV and so I decided to make it a double-set of vignettes, one for each sister. When I first started to write Lysa’s part, I didn’t initially plan on having a second part for Catelyn. 

LOL I was like LAINE WILL ENJOY THIS! XD I mean it isn't actually SHIPPY, Lysa is just...crushing admiring is all! 

It is another one of Robert’s wild moods, grown increasingly erratic since Lyanna’s death and his coronation.  A loyal Tully queen, he decides, will suit him far better than a traitorous Lannister – though to appease Lord Tywin, his daughter will instead become Lady of Winterfell. In Ned’s opinion, however, Lord Tywin is not likely to be appeased by such an arrangement in the slightest. “Stop your grumbling, Cersei Lannister is certainly fair to look upon,” Robert advises him as the king prepares to wed in Riverrun – to stand in Ned’s place, in what ultimately should have been Brandon’s place. And it is true – Lady Cersei is the fairest lady in the Seven Kingdoms, it is said, and the famous Lannister wealth meant that her dowry would far exceed Lady Catelyn’s – more than enough to feed all of Winterfell through at least three years of winter. Ned knows many would tell him that he should be glad of such an arrangement, but he had seen the brief, confused frown on Catelyn Tully’s face, the unhappy flicker in her eye, as she had been passed to yet another match, before she had composed her face into an expression of serene dutifulness. Brandon, he thinks, would not be pleased with Ned passing off his betrothed like a parcel; nor would his father, who had worked so diligently to secure the match in the first place.

I SHOULD HAVE JUST TAGGED THAT POST 'LAINEYMONT' TBH. XD It's like my mind takes a happy scenario and thinks hmmm how can I make this tragic? And then how can I make this MOAR TRAGIC?????

YESSSSSS. I feel like they had such a poignant moment together at the end of OotP, and I feel like Luna just GOT Harry on a different level than anyone else did - not necessarily a closer level (GOLDEN TRIO FOREVER) but a DIFFERENT level and in a way that was really important. FOREVER PRESSED THAT EITHER HARRY/LUNA OR NEVILLE/LUNA DIDN’T END UP CANON.
