"Whew, I'm finally done!"
Wiping the sweat off her face with a towel, Ichika took her time to catch her breath and cool off. She had just finished her final lap across the park with her teammates, who were waiting near the finish line for her. The sky, she noted, is currently a vibrant shade of crimson.
"Finally, I thought you couldn't catch up."
"Ichika!! Over here!!"
"Come on, we're gonna be late for dinner!!"
"Oh come on! You guys are so fast!"
Ichika rolled her eyes as she jogged up to them. She was out training the whole day with Arman, Dante and Taka. Initially, they were supposed to train until two o'clock in the afternoon until they ran into Delta, who was training at a nearby stadium. Dante was absolutely ecstatic to see him, and immediately suggested they should train together. Delta agreed, and they both immediately went into their launch stance.
"DELTAAAAA!!"
A loud shout jolted Delta out of his trance. He can tell Dante's voice from a mile away. The other members of the Victories were there too. After the events of the tag teams, the Victories sent an invitation to properly invite him to the team. He didn't see the need for this; he was technically already part of the team ever since he joined Arman and Dante in the tag team battle, plus he didn't care about the formality of it either. But seeing the effort they went through to decorate the whole place in party decorations AND made his favourite food (How did they know his favourite food? Did Valt tell them? ...Actually, that is possible-), he couldn't bring himself to say no. Ever since that day, he has been hanging out with them regularly. There are sometimes where he hung out with someone else instead of the Victories (Fubuki, Lain, Aiga, Gwyn), but it wasn't often. As he got lost in thought, Dante had already began to charge up for a tackle hug. He barely managed to dodge it just in time.
"Awh, I couldn't get you!" Dante whined as he steadied himself from the failed tackle hug.
Delta just huffs in response. "You've got to try a lot harder than that."
"Oof, he got you ther buddy." Arman chirped in. The rest of the team had walked over to the duo.
"Since we're all here, let's battle together!!" Dante excitedly suggested. The rest had no objections to this plan, so the decision falls on him.
Delta smirked in response; "Hmph, you're on."
After their first battle ended with a tie, Arman and Taka joined in. Being the only one left, Ichika was the designated referee for the four of them. As they battle, she began to space out, and her thoughts wandered to Delta. At first, she thought he was the cold guy, always so closed off and reserved, not to mention the times he shrugged Dante off. But after the incident in Infernal Tower, he seems much more approchable, and hung around the Victories even after Infernal Tower's abolishment. She has learned a lot about the sea-green haired ever since. For example, one time when they were eating out at a tomyum restaurant nearby, his face scrunched up everytime he consumed anything on the table. Turns out he didn't like anything sour, and tomyum was one of them.
"Hey Delta, you okay?"
Delta's eyes wandered from his food to Arman. "...yeah I'm fine."
Arman squinted at him, clearly not convinced. "..I'm not buying it."
"Yeah I noticed it too, you barely touched your plate, and your face keeps scrunching up everytime you take a bite." Ichika chimed in, and now, all the attention was now on him.
"Delta? You okay?" Dante looked worried.
"Yeah, I am. I'm just.."
"Just..?" Taka tilted his head in confusion.
A small blush crept onto his cheeks, as he mentally swallows his pride and glances away.
"..I'm just not a fan of sour foods."
The whole table went silent. For a few moments, Delta didn't dare to glance back at them. It's embarassing enough as it is. He doesn't need to know what they think of his food choices.
(Unbeknownst to Delta, the whole table was silent not for the revelation that he hated sour food, but the reaction he gave when he said it. No one has never seen Delta embarassed before. Arman thought that he was sick or didn't have an appetite, he did not expect to accidentaly expose Delta to be a picky eater. All of them stared at Delta with varying levels of baffled, while Tango just looked on in amusement. Arman wouldn't admit it out loud, but Delta has times where he acted out of character in contrary to his public persona, and he thinks he prefers this side of Delta better. In fact, it's kind of adorable in a way. No wonder Dante recently fell head over heels for him, even though neither of them noticed that.)
As things were about to get ever more awkward, Dante broke the silence. "Ohh, that explains why you would eat less during days they serve Sauerkraut when we were still at BC Sol!"
Delta snapped his head around and gawked at Dante, cheeks getting redder by the second. "Y-You saw that?!"
"Duh! I sit the table near you all the time! Don't you remember?" Dante answered, completely oblivious to the fact that Ichika, Arman and Taka are watching with barely restrained laughter at the whole situation.
"You- what-?" Delta sounded more and more exasperated and flustered by the second.
"Okay, okay, that's enough teasing boy. The food's getting cold." Before anyone could get another word in, Tango cuts in, while grabbing the vegetables from the broth. The rest ceased the prior conversation to finish the rest of the food. Delta is still a little flustered, but quickly recovered while grabing some meat from the broth. His face instinctively scrunches up as he eats the meat, even taking more from the broth after he finishes, determined to at least eat a little bit more. Ichika, Taka and Arman stole a few glances at Delta as he eats, finding his demeanor unconventionally adorable, while Dante unapologetically stares at him with a look that can only be described as lovestruck.
Tango just sighed fondly at the kids' antics. Oh well, this is a sight that the public media will never get to see, and the Victories intend to keep it that way.
A sharp 'clink' snapped Ichika out of her thoughts, as she quickly announced the results of the round. This went on for three hours as the boys keep on rematching. By the time they realized it, it was way past their initial schedule. Dante invited Delta over for dinner, but the Devolos blader had something to do later, so he declined. Dante did sulk a bit, but accepted the decision and everyone quickly waved goodbye to Delta.
"Awh, you're not coming over to dinner?" Dante pouted as Delta rejected his invitation to dinner for the third time this week. Even though Delta was a member of the Victories, he doesn't live with them. Dante's kinda bummed about it, but respects Delta's decision regardless.
"Not today. I have...something to do. Sorry." He preferred to go home most days anyways. The stars from his attic hideout are always so pretty to look at. Especially during January, when there are news of meteor showers near his home. That means he gets to see the meteors streak across the sky under the comfort of his own home, with the bonus of Taurus, Orion and the Pleiades star clusters too, who wouldn't be excited to see that every January?!
"Nah, you're good man. Just swing by whenever you're free." Arman patted Delta's shoulder to reassure him, and Delta gave a faint smile. "Thanks. I'll be sure to." "You better!" Arman jokingly retorted. The faint smile on Delta's face is more noticable now.
"Stay safe out there Delta!" Taka waved to Delta, and he waved back.
As he was about to walk away, Dante somehow managed to sneak up on him and gave him a quick hug before pulling away.
"See you tomorrow Delta!" Dante went to catch up with the rest of the group, leaving a stunned Delta wondering on what just transpired, before truly registering it. When he did, he burried his red face into his hands. He can't believe he let his guard down enough to let Dante do a sneak attack! Next time, he'll be sure to be more careful to not get caught off guard like this again.
As the Victories returned home, they quickly dug into the delicious meal Tango had cooked up. As they were eating, Ichika pulled out her phone to text in their groupchat of their safe return home. It had became a habit of theirs ever since Taka got lost during the bey fest last time.
1kaaaaa: @4thGreekAlphabet we have returned home safely. Please tell us when you arrive home too.
Ichika put her phone back before resuming to eat. As dusk settled, the Victories slowly fell into rythym with their normal routine. Dante taking a quick rinse in the shower, Arman polishing his bey, and Ichika rewatching footage with Taka for future references.
For a while, it was normal. Until....
"Huh. Delta hasn't reported back yet. That's strange."
Everyone in the room turned to look at Taka, before checking their phones for any messages.
"...Huh. That IS strange. He usually doesn't take this long home. I'm going to send him a text." Arman chimed in, pulling out the groupchat.
AAAMAAANEEEEEE: @4thGreekAlphabet yo are you there??
AAAMAAANEEEEEE: hello??
"...He's still not online." Arman frowned. This was out of the ordinary.
"He usually comes online immediately when he's pinged. Did something happen to him?" Ichika questioned.
"OH NO! IS HE IN TROUBLE??" Dante is starting to panic. He's biting his nails again.
"He has always been such a worrywart, even when I didn't consider him a friend; he still worries about me anyways." Delta had said this once to Amane, and he thinks that now, it couldn't be more true.
"Don't jump into rash conclusions just yet, maybe he's busy doing something?" Arman trying to calm Dante, while trying to rationalise on why Delta hasn't responded.
"WHAT DO WE DO??" Dante is not calming down. He started pacing around the living room.
"Uhh..let's try contacting one of his other friends, maybe they'll have an idea on where he might be?" Taka is starting to get anxious too.
"Good idea Taka, I'll do that." Arman, sensing the increase panic, wasted no time in opening his contacts and selecting four of the many contacts he has and puts them in a group chat.

Before Arman could finish typing, the doorbell rang. Everyone's attention snapped to the door. Taka and Dante stopped pacing, Ichika got out of her spiral, and Tango even looked up from petting his cat.
"...No fucking way." Arman bolted out of his seat and opened the door. Aiga was standing right infront of him with a carefree smile.
"Yo, I heard someone needed some help."
"...How did you even get here so fast?!" Arman gaped at the red-haired teen in bewilderment.
"I was already on my way the moment you said Delta was MIA. Kinda had a gut feeling I should come over."
"...You're insane sometimes." Arman just sighed in exasperation.
"Yeah I get that a lot" Aiga's smile turned into a smirk. He looked unapologetically proud.
"AIGAAAA!!!" Dante charged full speed at Aiga and tackeled him into a hug. Immediately after, Dante started rambling off to Aiga.
"Woah woah woah! Calm down buddy. He'll be fine, just slow down, take a breather first." Aiga, being still locked into a hug, repeatedly patted his junior on the back in attempt to comfort him. It took a while for Dante to calm down.
"Ahaha..Sorry about that." Dante fidgeted with his thumbs and smiled apologetically at Aiga.
"Ahh, no worries! We all have those days." Aiga just waved away Dante's worries.
"..Can we still go over to check on him?" Dante nervously questioned.
"Sure! Just follow me. Arman, you wanna tag along?" Aiga looked at Arman, waiting for his response.
"Nah, I'm sitting this one out. Just update us in the groupchat. That applies to the emergency group too." Arman replied.
"Alright then, suit yourself. Come on Dante, let's go." Aiga turned and head back out the door.
"Coming!" Dante quickly caught up with him.
"Don't stay out too late and return safely!" Ichika called out from the couch she was on.
"Okay! I'll be back soon!!" Dante waved at his family, and they waved back before he shut the door. Aiga was outside waiting.
"So..which way to we go?" Dante questioned.
"I know just how to get there quickly. Just hold on tight and keep up." Aiga responded, and Dante stayed near him as they navigated through a small forest of trees, cross through a very empty park, slither through a dimly-lit alleyway, and finally reached a small residential area nearby. They walked further into it before Aiga stopped at one house in particular.
The house has two stories, and it looked relatively unique. It looked more Western in architechture than a modern Japanese one. "Is this..."
"Yep, this is Delta's house. Can't really mistake it for any other houses either. It's the only one here with a unique roof shape." Aiga said, as he pointed towards the asymetrical roof. One side of the roof is a slope, while on the other is flat. Now that he thought about it, it looked like a square root symbol.
"Go on and ring the doorbell, see if he answers." Aiga encouraged, as he noticed Dante's hesitance.
Dante went on to ring the doorbell. No response. He ringed it again. No response.
"..Is he not home?" Dante is getting more worried by the second.
"..I have a hunch he is. Wait here, I need to do something." Before Dante could ask, Aiga had leaped a fence that leads to his backyard and landed on the other side. He then proceeds to count the pathway stones before stopping at one and prying it off the ground. He managed to squeeze the stone out of the hole placement and flipped the rock over. There was a key taped to theback of the stone. He took the key and climbed back to where the main gate is.
"What is that?" Dante asked, as he walked over to Aiga.
"The spare key to his front door." Aiga smirked. He remembered it from the last outing they had. Delta had forgotten his main keys at home, and did the same thing to get his backup key. Needless to say, he got it memorized just in case. Who knew it came in handy so soon?
"Woah, how do you know where it is?" Dante looked at Aiga, surprised.
"I've seen him do it once." Aiga responded, while twirling the key in his hands.
"Alright. Let's head in now. You ready, Dante?" Aiga threw the key up before catching it. Dante nodded. He then inserted the key into the door knob, unlocked the door, and both boys went in.
"Pardon the intrusion!" Dante reflexively yelled out as both of them enter the house and closing the door.

Dante closed the door as he and Aiga left to go find Delta at his house. Arman then quickly checked the emergency groupchat for messages. The notifications have been going off since Aiga sent that message.

SharkyBOYYYY: Remember he went back to BC Sol a few months ago?

SharkyBOYYYY: Valt said he needed to broaden his social circle, and then sent him here.

Amane sighed as he put down his phone. Hopefully, the other two are okay out there. He went to take a book from the shelf and started to read. Hopefully, they'll both return soon. (He's not really reading it though, as his brain wanders off to make sense of the information he had just collectetd today.)

"Pardon the intrusion!" Dante reflexively yelled out as both of them enter the house and closing the door.
Aiga went to find the lightswitch in the room. When he switched it on, Dante is greeted with the sight of a very well kept house. Everything looked so clean it unnerved him. The place practically looked untouched. The only sign of someone living here is the multiple pairs of shoes in the doorstep.
"Aiga..are you sure he's here?" Dante hesitantly questioned.
"..I'm not so sure myself. But something in my gut is telling me that he's probably here somewhere. Let's search around." Aiga answered, taking off his shoes and leaving them by the door. Dante did the same, and the both got to work.
They searched every nook and cranny of the house, and couldn't find Delta anywhere. He's not in the kitchen, the study room, or the bedrooms. Where could he possibly be?! Dante is starting to get more and more anxious as time passed on.
"He's not here either!!" Dante groaned. He knows that Delta could take care of himself, he really does! But since when has he listened to his rational side to begin with? He loves all his friends too much that he worries too much on their behalf too.
Suddenly, mid-searching, Dante saw a small latch on the ceiling. Immeditely, he called Aiga over. "Aiga! What is that?"
Aiga turned his head towards where Dante is pointing. Suddenly, something clicks for him. "Ohh. OHH."
Aiga started giggling hysterically. Dante just looked on, confused. Before he could process anything however, Aiga turned to him and said:
"Okay, I think I know exactly where he is. But, before I do anything, I need you to be really quiet okay?" Dante just nodded vigorously.
With that confirmation, Aiga walked back to a wall, took a deep breath, and started charging forwards with the latch in mind. He jumped, grabbed on to the rope attatched to it, before pulling the latch down with a loud thud. A ladder to the attic greeted the both of them. Dante looked at the sight infront of him, mouth slightly agape from amazement and shock. Aiga went towards the ladder and started climbing it.
"Well, what are you waiting for? Let's go!" Aiga whispered shouted, looking back at him with a mischevious smirk.
Dante didn't say anything else, but rushed to catch up to him. The moment he fully pulled himself up from the ladder, he froze. The attic looked absolutely mesmerising. There was a neatly kept bed on the side that was decorated with fairy lights. The walls are also covered wall to wall with decorative glow-in-the-dark stars. A big contrast to the eerily clean rooms downstairs. And when he turned around he's greeted with a really huge round window, with the night sky in full view. A night-sky mat was layed across the floor, with stacks of books; one of them having a speaker that's playing soft music on it, a telescope with an orrey nearby, some extra pillows to the side, and most importantly...
"Delta!!! ARE YOu-- okay.." Dante whispered yelled in confusion. Delta was currently asleep on the floor, jacket abandoned to the side, with a fountain pen in hand, and a book near him. It seems he fell asleep while watching the stars.
"Pfft-- He tried to stay up to watch the stars only to fall asleep again" Aiga snorted, as he took a photo of Delta sleeping. This is the third time that something like this had happened. As they say: first time's an accident, twice is a mistake, thrice becomes a pattern. He can finally, truly and confidently say that this is a recurring pattern. Gwyn owes him a custom part now. He put his phone away for now, and helps Delta to bookmark and put away his books to the side.
"Phew, I thought something bad had happened to him. I was so worried.." Dante breathed in a sigh of relief. At least he now knows Delta is safe. As Aiga was busy putting away some things, he took the time to look at Delta for a few moments. He looked so peaceful as he sleeps. His chest rises and falls in a steady, soothing rhythm. Dante has never ever seen him so at peace before. The only time that came close was after defeating Arthur and all the hype died out when they walked home together. It's nice, he thinks. Delta should be like this around him more often; Yeah, that'll be really nice. The thought makes him feel all giddy inside. He hopes to one day see Delta fully for who he is. He hopes that one day, Delta would show all the different sides of him: his other hobbies, his favourite music, all of it. Dante smiled softly at the sleeping figure, before picking up the abandoned jacket and carefully putting it away; then going to the bed to grab the blanket on his bed, and carefully drape it over him. Delta instinctively curled into the blanket, leaving a very heartstruck Dante looking at him like he's the most precious thing in the universe. Aiga looked on to the two in amusement; he had finished keeping the books a while ago. Now, he can also confidently say that Dante definitely has a crush on Delta. Hah, Kit owes him 20 euros for this.
"Now that you know he's safe, ready to go back?" Aiga went over to Dante, placing a hand on his shoulder. Dante turned to look at him.
"Mhm! Let's go back and update the rest." Dante nodded, and followed Aiga back downstairs, glancing at a sleeping Delta as he does so.
"Goodnight Delta! See you tommorrow!" Dante whispered softly to him before finally leaving.

Ding! A notification popped up. Arman picked up his phone to check who is it from. Taka and Ichika looked over his shoulders to take a peak. It was from the emergency group.

LainVallHELLa: he was so excited when he found out the raging bulls had a roof made of glass at the top floor, and in perfect view of the stars too.
LainVallHELLa: caught him sneaking out during curfew to go up there just to watch the stars and accidentally fall asleep. multiple times.
LainVallHELLa: shu eventually caught on and gave him an exemption to be up there, even past curfew :p
SharkyBOYYYY: Figured he had that habit even before coming to the Raging Bulls, just didn't expect to get evidence of it now of all times.
Arman opened the weirdly titled picture. Never in a million years would he expect the picture to be Delta sleeping peacefully under the stars, while soft glows of moonlight shined through his windows, lighting the room just enough to clearly see Delta's peaceful expression. Taka and Ichika both gasped behind him.
"Woah, never in a lifetime would I expect to see Delta sleeping soundly under the stars." Taka commented. Arman had to agree with that statement.
"Me neither Taka, me neither." Ichika looks exasperated and amused, but it sounds like she is fawning over how cute his expression is.
"..I'm saving this before it gets deleted." Arman decides, saving the image into his folder.

Arman shuts his phone and puts it on the table, sighing.
"Well, at least we know that all of them are safe." Arman turned to look at both Ichika and Taka.
"Yeah, that's a relief." Ichika gave a small smile.
"Surprisingly unexpected though" Taka chimed in, he truly relaxed after knowing Delta is safe too.
"..I'm beat. I'm gonna go sleep early today. And try to process somethings. Goodnight you two." Arman yawned and stetched, before getting off the couch and going upstairs to bed. They'll talk about this tomorrow.

Next morning came swiftly, and Delta came over to train. He apologized profusely to the team for making them worry before any of them could get a word out. Apparently, Aiga actually wrote a note to Delta explaining somethings and acting as a bookmark, slipped it in on one of the pages of his astrology books. No one really held a grudge against him though, so they forgave him pretty quickly.
A soft click was heard on the door, as Delta unlocked the door and went in. The rest of the team were already there. They all turned to look at him. Delta immediately bowed down, shocking everyone around.
"I'm sorry for causing trouble yesterday!" Delta blurted, face red from embarassment of having people to see him like this. And also causing trouble to his teammates. Everyone just stared at him for a few seconds before registering what he just said.
"Nah, it's all good man! Don't worry about a little slip up like this. We all kinda..did panic a little too much.." Arman put his hands on both of Delta's shoulders and push him back to upright. His face is still red from embarassment, and Arman had just put it on full display. Delta instinctively try to cover as much of his face as possible. Arman is amused and charmed by this reaction, but decides to try and calm Delta down first. "..isn't that right guys?" Arman addressed the rest of them, snapping them out of their trance.
"Y-yeah! It wasn't completely your fault. Don't beat yourself up over it!" Taka quickly chimed in.
"W-what he said!! Don't worry about it!" Ichika frantically waves her arm, trying hard to persuade the sea-green haired it isn't his fault.
"Mhm!! I'm really sorry too, for barging in you home without permission!!" Dante chirped in, quickly trying to reasure the taller.
Delta just stood silent for a few moments, taking in their sincere expressions before breaking into a soft smile, "...Thank you guys"
"What are friends for man. Don't sweat it." Arman pulled him into a side hug, petting his shoulder.
"What Arman said!!" Dante, seeing the opportunity, quickly tackeled the both of them to a hug. They both froze, before Arman laughed and ruffled Dante's hair, while Delta tensed before he relaxed and embraced the hug from them both, a small blush creeping back on his face. The three broke the hug a few seconds later.
"Come on guys, let's head to the kitchen!! I smell Uncle making pancakes!!!" Dante grabbed the both of them by the hand, and started bolting to the kitchen.
"Hey- slow down!!" "Woah-" Arman and Delta yelped as they both got dragged to the kitchen. Taka and Ichika looked at the three, then and each other, before smiling and running after the three of them.
