So to start out with, here's a translated version of the in gallery document and an untranslated version of the uncensored version of the document. (I do not understand Japanese so I cannot attest to the accuracies of this translation).

You can tell this document is specifically about the psx version of Lain due to her age, mentions of Kyoko and Touko, and the video tapes. It also gives us more information, like how Lain was someone else that was brainwashed and had software installed inside her (so you could say in the psx version the software wins, whereas the anime version the human wins).

So what do I mean about this changing the meaning of The Nightmare of Fabrication? Well we already could infer that Bike-Chan is a metaphorical stand-in for Lain, and how she can be easily replaced. (And also a mirror to how she was using AI to bring her father back, and planned to do it with her other past friends.)

But with that stand-in metaphor AND document in mind, that also means Lain adding equipment to make Bike-chan talk is a mirror to how she had software installed into her own body.

Anyways I just think that's really fucked up and neat, love that. Poor Lain
