Lail’s distant past uhhh well! Lail’s grandfather was actually a fairy, which is why he’s got such weird wings all over, cause he’s still like, a quarter fairy, and he’s pretty desperate to hide it, because he (rightfully) doesnt trust that some of his clients wouldnt be very interested in tearing him to pieces or something equally horrific.Â

He started life off as like, not a TERRIBLE person or anything, but he wasn’t Great. he’s pretty much Always been kinda shitty and awful. it drove his family crazy and eventually it was enough that they kicked him out.Â
He didn’t really have anything to fall back on, and was living in some pretty shifty places for a while. It turned out he had a pretty good knack for Finding things that people couldn’t, and got paid good money to do it.Â
eventually he realized that the Best shot he would have at making a decent living wasn’t going to be cleaning himself up and becoming a better person, but was actually to quit working for other people, and instead go into business on his own as a Shady Blackmarket dealer
he hasn’t talked to his family in a LONG time and i really doubt they’d ever want to hear from him. its a No-No subject with him, he doesnt like to talk about it, and gets pretty agitated if anyone brings it up at all
