do we give the foxthing armpits or not. the way the shoulders work there's only one shard which acts as. the shoulder. and also sort of a bit of chest muscle. this leaves a huge gap when it moves up (which I'm honestly fine with). and I'm thinking of adding the scapula(?) at the back so the original shard can move forward and represent the chest muscle more.

there's also the issue of what bone to parent it to, since right now there aren't any shards that slide around along another shard like these will.
ah. right. the tail is also done. just fixing up proportions and moving this around so they don't clip.

okay, so, the base parenting with the nearby-parent addon worked pretty well. unfortunately the tail needs separating and reparenting since its parented to the middle bone. and also converting it to a proper rig.

I did the array trick but ive found that the simple deform taper doesn't move with the rest of the curve mesh. I *could* just apply but I need to find a way to straighten the curve first cause I don't wanna manually straighten shit … though I might remember there being a shortcut to straighten a mesh
if shit goes to fuck I may as well just go back to the one I've already got
honestly maybe a nurbzpath might've been a better choice to start with
