3. What's a secret passion of theirs?
Not sure I’d call it a secret, but Vesper LOVES ice cream, partly because it was such a rarity while she was growing up in the Badlands. Not long after she first arrived in NC, she dragged Jackie around the city on an ice cream crawl to try as many different flavours as possible from a bunch of different places until they both made themselves ill. The novelty’s partly worn off now, but she’ll still never say no to ice cream.
She also has a weakness for pulp romance novels, the trashier the better. They’re generally fast, easy reads and a good way to unwind after a long day of merc work when she doesn’t feel like going out for drinks or whatever. Depending on how busy she is, she tends to go through about one or two a week.
I can also see her getting really invested in some stupid reality TV show, like the Cyberpunk equivalent of Big Brother or something.
28. What makes them feel safe?
At the risk of sounding clichéd: the thing that makes her feel safest is River. Not just in a physical sense (underneath the exterior of the hardboiled NCPD detective, he’s one of the gentlest, least aggressive men she's ever met), but also emotionally. With River, she feels like she can let her guard down, stop acting the part of the badass Night City merc and just be Vesper again. She feels safe with him in a way she really hasn’t since her mom died. It’s one of the reasons she was drawn to him, why she fell in love with him.
