"Hey, what the hell!” you said loudly, slightly confused as your boyfriend smacked the piece of chocolate out of your hand. You had just sat down on the couches of the Slytherin common room and were about to eat the chocolate frog you had been given when your best friend, Yoongi, came out of nowhere and swatted it out of your hand. “Don’t tell me you’re jealous. It’s just chocolate!” you said, rolling your eyes. 

“That was given to you by a secret admirer, weren’t you,” Yoongi said, slightly out of breath and completely ignoring your last statement. Had he run all the way over here just to confirm that? He never runs...You nodded slowly, but said that it was valentines day so it was normal to get gifts, right? Yoongi shook his head and plopped down next to you, taking a deep breath. “I heard a rumor from a fifth year that some idiot has been giving girls chocolate frogs with amortentia in them,” he explained. 

You sat their looking at the frog on the ground and noticed that it was moving rather slowly. Maybe he was right and there was someone trying to drug you with a love potion. You turned to Yoongi and gave him a small smile. “Thank you,” you said earnestly. Yoongi simply nodded and gave you a pat on the head before shifting to bring up his bag and pull out a small wrapped gift. 

“Happy Valentines Day,” he mumbled, handing it to you without meeting your eyes. You looked at him curiously before he quickly added, “It’s not drugged, I swear,” to which you laughed heartily and smiled at him. Once you opened the gift, you let out a short gasp at the beautiful necklace. It was in the shape of a heart and had an emerald in the center between your first and second initial.

“Yoongi...” you said, turning to your boyfriend with tears threatening to come to your eyes. “I love it so much, thank you.”
