I'm begging some of you to read more books. Like, seriously. So like, there was this video on Tik Tok of this girl showing off a hack for getting hair dye stains off the counter and it was hairspray. Someone in the comments pointed out that it's kind of concerned that it can strip color out of the counter and you're putting it in your hair, to which someone else replied that water is a solvent as well. I replied to said person that I don't think their concern is necessarily related to the "chemical exposure" but more so the fact that it strips hair color. And someone else replied "water strips the hair 😱". Yeah, no shit, Sherlock. But water can't get hair dye up off your counters, too, can it? It's obvious that the rate of hair stripping between the hair product and the water would be vastly different based on the video we both just watched of it taking it off the counters - and that is a genuine reason for concern if you'd like your hair dye to last. I can't believe I had to spell it out. People genuinely can't put two and two together anymore. And like, I'm autistic, so I know sometimes things get lost in translation and you may not fully understand someone's intent. But this reply was clearly made in bad faith to try and undermine what I was saying for whatever stupid reason?? Like, you are loud and wrong. Sorry, I know it's something "small", but it reminds me that people genuinely don't think critically about things anymore.
