I wonder if there were any parents out there that didn't want their kids to enjoy reality shows like "Jersey Shore" (amongst other reality TV) and trashy talk shows like Jerry Springer, Maury Povich, Jenny Jones and Ricki Lake because they didn't want their kids to be "lowest common denominator"?

I wonder if there's people out there who weren't allowed to watch "Flavor of Love", "Jersey Shore", "Rock of Love", "A Shot at Love with Tila Tequila", "I Love New York", "The Bad Girls Club", etc. when they were teens and even kids? I wonder if their parents blocked MTV and Vh1 because of those shows?
I even wonder if there's people who weren't allowed to watch Jenny Jones', Ricki Lake's, Jerry Springer's, Richard Bey's, or even Morton Downey Jr.'s talk shows in the 90's and early 2000's and if their parents put blocks on the channels playing those talk shows?
