Rain in Lumiose City was a rare occurrence, but even more rare was that it happened on the exact same day as a power outage to the north side of town - all of Gardy’s favorite cafés were closed! The Gardevoir had long harbored an apprehension about the Pokemon Lab on South Boulevard - all those scientists in white coats freaked him out - but, soaked from head to toe and with no better place to get dry, he rushed inside.
To his relief, he didn’t seem to be the only Pokemon inside! A tall Garchomp was standing idly in the lobby, appearing remarkably comfortable inside. Giving a quick wave of hello, he floated up to the dragon and asked in Poke-speak, “Yo! Like, I should have been staying home to watch the rain instead of getting totally caught in it... is there a good place to get warm?” He was doing his best to remain cheerful, but his shivering shoulders gave away just how cold he was.
