Labwork- Making a GIF
For our labwork this week we learned how to make a gif in photoshop. I decided instead of the image going left to right id make it go from far to near by make it look like it was growing. This effect reminded by of the POW and BAM titles that would show up in 1960′s Adam West Batman. I used that idea and mixed into a product so this concept is for a lip balm brand simply called BALM.

MIND THE GAP
As part of this weeks lab work we learned how to change brightness of certain areas on an image and also how to place an image/ pattern of another image and remove the background.
I used what i learned to create the above poster, i found a pattern for the new york subway track lines and placed it above image of a train which i brightened the headlights. I thought map of the tracks resembled a face the headlights resembled eyes so created the poster as an awareness for people who commit suicide on train tracks which is significantly higher in New York than other states in america. I also placed a paper pattern on top of the whole image to create an vintage effect.
As part of my lab work this week we are tasked to apply text behind an image effect.This was something i was really looking forward to learning how to do. I found this photo on Unsplash.com and thought that text would look great behind it to make it almost look like a movie poster. To take this one step further I also applied this effect using a curved line behind the child almost as if its magic swirling around him.
Originally in this photo the man is actually jumping on some rocks but using the skills learned in my visual communications lab i removed the rocks to make it look like we was diving into the water. I thought it looked like a good magazine cover so made up a name for it and added in some generic article titles.
Spot the Difference.
In this weeks lab we worked on photo editing. We learned about colour correction, the rule of thirds and the content aware feature on photoshop. After the lab i wanted to take this new knowledge and skills and apply them to one of my own photos. Back in 2017 i visited the vatican and took this photo of a nun as she walked through one of the halls in St.Peters Basicalla. I wasnt too happy how the photo turned out it didnt really emphasize how devine the scene really was in real life. So i decide to open Photoshop to try fix this!
First thing i did was to try highlight the nun more so i selected the nun using my lasso tool & and isolated it to a seprate layer. From here i adjusted the white balance,brightness and shadow to really make the nun as angelic in the photo as she was in real life. (see photo one for results)
Another thing that ruined the photo was the machinery in the background. I used the the lasso tool to select the machinery and then used the content aware tool to fill in the gap. Photoshop was able to recognise the pattern of the pillar and fill it removing the machinery from the photo.(see photo two for results)
Also, just for fun i thought the photo would make a cool postcard so put it in black and white and used some typography for the vatican title.
But wait theres more! There is one more thing i did in this photo to just make it that much better in my opinion. Think you know what it is?

LabWork-Typeface
This week we learned about typeface, how different typeface can be paired up and how to manipulate them to make them your own.
" I am a College student of Informatics engineering department(well-known with Information Technology). I have a lab-work about networking(mail server). I still have some problems in it. But, I prefer to continue it tomorrow. My friend suddenly asked something about my progress in lab-work. I told her that I still had some problems to check the incoming-message in mail server. She relied that I must install "squirrelmail", so that my mail-server could be access easily. Then I shocked. (Squirrelmail?? Squirrel+mail=squirrelmail? Squirrel boy is Chinen Yuri. Then Mail,, So I must send a mail to Chinen yuri? -___- *my random thinking, but I didn't tell to her all about it*) What kind of application is Squirrelmail? She told to me that that application will make your mail's interface like well-known mail( ex :gmail). Then, I just replied "Ohh..."
Oh, My brain is full with Chinen Yuri :D
