Come in and know me better, man!

Frederic smiled as he pulled the chilled cake out of the stock fridge. Baryl worked him hard, but only twice a week before he ran off to handle some business of his own, leaving his student to his own devices for four or five days, as was a new consistency in the young mans life. So when he wasn’t maintaining what he learned, he spent his time composing or baking again.
Today had been one he enjoyed. Mint cake was harder than one first thought, but if the smell of this was any indicator, he’d succeeded in making it at least half-decent. Hopefully someone else thought so too. It was about time they’d stopped fighting anyways. Or at least gotten over this gap that they’d created.
Freddie sliced it up evenly before placing two portions on plates, setting silverware on them and bringing them over to the nearby table. “I told you, Captain~. It turned out just fine, so far.”
