On what occasion would you wear Bodyline's l255? It's sooo precious but it seems too much for every day maybe. And what are your opinions on l088, l324, and especially l129? I think l129 would be great for fall/winter here in Canada, but does it look cheaply made? I've never bought from Bodyline before. Also, i'm 5'9", am I going to need underskirts for every dress I buy?
For L255: Where it anywhere you want. Lolita isn't a special occasion thing if you don't want it to be. I certainly don't think it looks too much for every day.L088: It's certainly not my favorite. I think it looks dumb how awesomely elaborate the skirt portion is and then the bodice is so boring with those little buttons. L324: I actually think it's okay. The lace looks surprisingly nice and I actually sort of like the print and colors. The only thing I would do differently is get a smaller bow for the neck. The one they have right now seems almost comically large. I might actually remove the collar (which it would appear is detachable), wear the bow at the front of the waist where it wouldn't seem so huge, and put a smaller one at the neckline. L129: It's not a bad dress. I would just remove the jabot because the lace doesn't look very nice and maybe the bow thing around the neck too (if they aren't already attached it's hard to tell) and just replace it with a cameo brooch or a bow. I'm not a huge fan of the way the arms are open with the strip of white in the middle, but I think I could overlook that.
As for your height, it's hard to say. You would have to measure yourself and see how it matches up to things. Have someone else measure from your shoulder to your knee for dresses and measure from your natural waist to your knee for skirts. Because different people are tall in different ways (you might have a short torso and long legs, or short legs and a long torso, etc.) it's important to measure yourself to make sure.
