The only flying YL-15 Scout in the world
N4770C is owned/operated by Keith Brunquist of Wasilla Alaska and is seen in the photo on departure day from EAA AirVentures Oshkosh at Wittman Regional Airport, Wisconsin. First flown on 13 July 1947, Boeing made only 12 production models of the airplane, which it tried—unsuccessfully—to get the U.S. Army to purchase as an observation aircraft. The aircraft were then transferred to the US Fish & Wildlife Agency in Alaska where they were utilized for various duties.
